Catania Airport in Italy has suspended incoming flights until 4 PM today due to volcanic ash emitted from the nearby Mount Etna.
The airport operating company advised passengers to check the status of their flights with the airlines.
Hundreds of flights were canceled or rerouted last month during the peak travel season in Italy due to the latest eruption of the most active volcano in Europe.
Catania Airport is the busiest in terms of passenger numbers in Sicily and the fifth busiest airport in Italy.
