أحبطت دولة الكويت أكبر ضبطية مخدرات في تاريخها، تقدر قيمتها الإجمالية بنحو 150 مليون دينار كويتي (نحو 485.9 مليون دولار).
وأوضح النائب الأول لرئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية بدولة الكويت الشيخ فهد يوسف سعود الصباح -وفقاً لوكالة الأنباء الكويتية- أن الضبطية التي تحققت أمس تتمثّل في نحو 5 أطنان من بودرة مادة «ليريكا» الخام وما يقارب 4 ملايين كبسولة جاهزة للبيع، مضيفاً أنها شملت كذلك مصنعاً متكاملاً لإنتاج مادة «ليريكا» المؤثرة عقلياً، إلى جانب معدات لتعبئة الكبسولات وتجزئتها.
Kuwait has thwarted the largest drug seizure in its history, with a total estimated value of about 150 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately 485.9 million dollars).
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Fahd Youssef Saud Al-Sabah - according to the Kuwait News Agency - stated that the seizure, which took place yesterday, consists of about 5 tons of raw "Lyrica" powder and nearly 4 million capsules ready for sale. He added that it also included a complete factory for producing the psychoactive substance "Lyrica," along with equipment for packaging and splitting the capsules.
