أعلنت إثيوبيا رسمياً انتهاء تفشي فايروس ماربورغ في البلاد بعد مضي (42) يوماً دون تسجيل حالة جديدة من المرض.
وأكد رئيس البرلمان الإثيوبي تاقسي تشافو، ووزيرة الصحة مقدس دابا أن إثيوبيا خالية من فايروس ماربورغ شديد العدوى المشابه لفايروس إيبولا، بعد أن أودى بحياة تسعة أشخاص على الأقل.
وكانت إثيوبيا قد أعلنت عن وباء ماربورغ في نوفمبر 2025 بعد ظهور أول حالة في منطقة جينكا في إقليم جنوب إثيوبيا.
Ethiopia has officially announced the end of the Marburg virus outbreak in the country after 42 days without recording a new case of the disease.
The Speaker of the Ethiopian Parliament, Tagese Chafo, and the Minister of Health, Makdes Daba, confirmed that Ethiopia is free from the highly contagious Marburg virus, which is similar to the Ebola virus, after it claimed the lives of at least nine people.
Ethiopia had declared a Marburg epidemic in November 2025 after the first case appeared in the Jinka area of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region.
