أُصيب 109 عمال، معظمهم بجروح طفيفة، إثر تصادم قطارين أحاديين داخل نفق بموقع مشروع محطة كهرومائية في ولاية أوتاراخاند شمال الهند.
وقال كبير المسؤولين الإداريين في المنطقة جاوراف كومار «إن الحادث نجم عن عطل في مكابح أحد القطارين»، مشيرًا إلى استئناف العمل بالمشروع اليوم بعد إزالة آثار التصادم.
109 workers were injured, most of them with minor injuries, as a result of a collision between two monorail trains inside a tunnel at a hydropower project site in Uttarakhand, northern India.
The chief administrative officer of the region, Gaurav Kumar, stated that "the accident was caused by a brake failure in one of the trains," noting that work on the project resumed today after the collision's aftermath was cleared.
