عادت قصة المذيع الأمريكي آرون جودوين، مقدم برنامج الرعب الشهير «Ghost Adventures»، إلى تصدر محركات البحث ومنصات التواصل خلال الساعات الماضية، بعد إعادة تداول مقطع نادر يوثق اللحظة التي اكتشف فيها أن زوجته كانت تخطط لاغتياله أثناء التصوير.
المقطع، الذي انتشر مجددًا عبر منصة «X» (تويتر سابقًا)، أظهر المذيع وهو يتلقى اتصالًا مفاجئًا من الشرطة خلال تصوير إحدى الحلقات، قبل أن يغادر المكان على الفور وسط حالة من الصدمة بين فريق العمل. وكشفت التحقيقات حينها أن زوجته فيكتوريا جودوين اتفقت مع سجين في ولاية فلوريدا على دفع 11,515 دولارًا مقابل تنفيذ الجريمة، بينها 2,500 دولار مقدّمًا.
وأعاد المشهد المؤلم إلى الأذهان واحدة من أكثر القصص غرابة في الوسط الإعلامي الأمريكي، بعدما أكدت التقارير أن جودوين يرفض حتى اليوم مشاهدة الحلقة التي وثّقت تلك اللحظة، قائلاً: «لا أريد أن أعيش ذلك الرعب من جديد».
وأوضحت وسائل إعلام أمريكية أن إعادة الاهتمام بالقضية جاءت بعد مقابلة جديدة أجراها جودوين تحدث فيها عن «الآثار النفسية العميقة التي خلّفتها الخيانة»، مؤكدًا أنه أصبح شخصًا مختلفًا تمامًا بعد نجاته مما وصفه بـ«الكوابيس الحقيقية التي لا تُنسى».
أما فيكتوريا التي حُكم عليها بالسجن لمدّة تراوح بين 36 و90 شهرًا، فقد عبّرت عن ندمها العميق خلال جلسة طلبت فيها تخفيف الحكم، قائلة إنها «تعيش في دوامة من العار والذنب منذ ذلك اليوم».

The story of American broadcaster Aaron Goodwin, host of the famous horror show "Ghost Adventures," has once again topped search engines and social media platforms in recent hours, following the circulation of a rare clip documenting the moment he discovered that his wife was plotting to assassinate him during filming.
The clip, which spread again via the platform "X" (formerly Twitter), showed the broadcaster receiving a surprise call from the police while filming one of the episodes, before he immediately left the location amid shock among the crew. Investigations at the time revealed that his wife, Victoria Goodwin, had agreed with an inmate in Florida to pay $11,515 for carrying out the crime, including $2,500 upfront.
The painful scene brought to mind one of the strangest stories in the American media, as reports confirmed that Goodwin still refuses to watch the episode that documented that moment, saying, "I don't want to live that horror again."
American media outlets clarified that the renewed interest in the case came after a new interview Goodwin conducted, in which he spoke about "the deep psychological effects left by the betrayal," confirming that he has become a completely different person after surviving what he described as "unforgettable real nightmares."
As for Victoria, who was sentenced to prison for a period ranging from 36 to 90 months, she expressed her deep remorse during a session in which she requested a reduction of her sentence, stating that she "has been living in a whirlwind of shame and guilt since that day."
The story suddenly resurfaced and received widespread interaction on social media, where followers expressed their astonishment at its horrific details and their support for the broadcaster who faced the most dangerous moment of his life on air.
