شهدت محافظة سوهاج حادثةً مأساويةً هزّت المدينة، حيث فقدت رضيعة تبلغ من العمر 4 أشهر حياتها بعد تعرضها لهجوم عنيف من قارض محلي يُعرف بـ«العرسة». وقعت الحادثة بينما كانت الأسرة منشغلة لنحو ساعة، مما أتاح للحيوان فرصة مهاجمة الطفلة ونهشها بشكل مروع دون أن يسمع أحد صراخها.
ووصلت الطفلة جثة هامدة إلى مستشفى طهطا العام، حيث كشفت الفحوصات الأولية إصابات بالغة شملت قطعاً في الوجه والكف الأيمن، بالإضافة إلى جروح متفرقة في جسدها. لكن أخطر الإصابات كان قطع الشريان الزندي، الأمر الذي أدى إلى وفاتها الفورية قبل وصولها إلى المستشفى.
وجرى نقل جثة الطفلة إلى مشرحة المستشفى، وبدأت الجهات الأمنية التحقيق في ملابسات الحادثة، وسط حزن في المجتمع المحلي.
The Sohag Governorate witnessed a tragic incident that shook the city, as a 4-month-old infant lost her life after being violently attacked by a local rodent known as the "Arsa." The incident occurred while the family was preoccupied for about an hour, allowing the animal the opportunity to attack the child and maul her horrifically without anyone hearing her screams.
The child arrived lifeless at Taha Hospital, where initial examinations revealed severe injuries including cuts to the face and the right hand, in addition to scattered wounds on her body. However, the most serious injury was a severed ulnar artery, which led to her immediate death before reaching the hospital.
The child's body was transferred to the hospital's morgue, and security authorities began investigating the circumstances of the incident, amidst sorrow in the local community.
