في مشهد أشبه بأفلام هوليوود، سادت حالة من الذعر على شاطئ هنتنغتون في لوس أنجلوس، بعدما فقدت طائرة هليكوبتر السيطرة أثناء تحليقها فوق المصطافين أمس (السبت)، لتسقط بشكل مروّع وسط صرخات الحاضرين.
الطائرة تصطدم بالنخيل
مقاطع الفيديو التي اجتاحت مواقع التواصل أظهرت المروحية وهي تدور بشكل جنوني قبل أن تصطدم بأشجار النخيل وسلّم خشبي قريب من الشاطئ، بينما هرع الناس للابتعاد عن موقع السقوط.
5 مصابين
أكدت السلطات المحلية إصابة 5 أشخاص، بينهم اثنان من ركاب المروحية تم إنقاذهما من الحطام، و3 آخرين كانوا على الطريق المجاور، نُقلوا جميعا إلى المستشفى بعد تلقي الإسعافات الأولية في الموقع.
تحقيقات رسمية
استجابت شرطة لوس أنجلوس وفرق الإطفاء فورا للحادثة عند تقاطع طريق المحيط الهادئ وشارع هنتنغتون، وبدأت تحقيقا موسعا لمعرفة سبب السقوط، بينما لم تُعلن النتائج بعد.
فعالية خيرية تتحول إلى مأساة
كانت المروحية تابعة لفعاليات حدث سنوي لجمع التبرعات بعنوان Cars N Copters، وكان من المفترض أن يُقام اليوم (الأحد)، لكن المشهد المروّع ألقى بظلال ثقيلة على الفعالية التي ينتظرها الآلاف سنويا.

The helicopter crashes into palm trees
Videos that flooded social media showed the helicopter spinning wildly before crashing into palm trees and a wooden ladder near the beach, as people rushed to get away from the crash site.
5 injured
Local authorities confirmed that 5 people were injured, including two passengers from the helicopter who were rescued from the wreckage, and 3 others who were on a nearby road. All were transported to the hospital after receiving first aid at the scene.
Official investigations
The Los Angeles Police and fire crews responded immediately to the incident at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Huntington Street, and began a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the crash, while results have not yet been announced.
A charity event turns into a tragedy
The helicopter was part of an annual fundraising event titled Cars N Copters, which was supposed to take place today (Sunday), but the horrific scene cast a heavy shadow over the event that thousands look forward to each year.
