Details of the Incident

Bilin Yashut Kiga was trying to descend from the seventh floor, but the elevator stopped on the second floor due to a technical malfunction. At that moment, her husband Gokhan, who was waiting for her on the first floor, immediately called for help and tried to rescue her, but the elevator suddenly fell, leading to her death, and he was injured in his foot while attempting to save her.

Police Investigations

The police opened an urgent investigation and confirmed that they had received previous complaints from residents of the building about recurring elevator malfunctions. Three people, including maintenance workers and technicians, were detained on suspicion of their involvement.
