شهد الطريق الدائري الإقليمي في مصر، الذي يربط محافظات الدلتا العليا بالعاصمة القاهرة، اليوم (السبت)، حادثة مرورية مروعة أسفرت عن مصرع سائق شاحنة نقل مواد بترولية، وإصابة خفيفة لسائقي سيارتين أخريين، إثر اندلاع حريق هائل نتيجة اصطدام الشاحنة بسيارتي نقل فنطاس.
وقد أدت الحادثة إلى إغلاق جزئي للطريق في الاتجاه المؤدي إلى القاهرة، مما تسبب في كثافات مرورية شديدة استمرت لساعات لحين السيطرة على الحريق ورفع آثار الحادثة.
تفاصيل انفجار شاحنة بترولية على الطريق الإقليمي
وفقاً لتقارير الإدارة العامة للمرور والحماية المدنية، وقعت الحادثة حوالى الساعة 6 صباحاً، بعد محطة وقود وطنية على الطريق الإقليمي، بمنطقة تقع شمال العاصمة.
وأفاد شهود عيان بأن الشاحنة المحملة بكميات كبيرة من المواد البترولية القابلة للاشتعال، كانت تسير باتجاه القاهرة عندما فقد سائقها السيطرة عليها، مما أدى إلى اصطدامها بعنف بسيارتي نقل فنطاس قادمتين في الاتجاه المعاكس، وأدى الاصطدام إلى تسرب جزء من الحمولة البترولية، واندلاع النيران بسرعة فائقة، ليحرق الشاحنة بالكامل.
وتلقت غرفة عمليات النجدة بلاغاً فورياً عن الحادثة، فهرعت قوات الحماية المدنية بست سيارات إطفاء إلى الموقع، إضافة إلى سيارات إسعاف وفرق أمنية لتأمين المنطقة.
ونجحت فرق الإطفاء في السيطرة على الحريق بعد ساعة من الجهود المكثفة، مما منع امتداد النيران إلى السيارات المجاورة أو وقوع كارثة أكبر.
مصرع السائق حرقًا
ويحسب بيانات رسمية، لقي السائق، وهو في الأربعينيات من عمره مصرعه حرقاً في مكانه داخل مقصورة الشاحنة، بينما تم نقل السائقين الآخرين إلى مستشفى قريب لإجراء فحوصات طبية، وتبين عدم تعرضهما لإصابات خطيرة.
وأكدت الإدارة العامة للمرور أن التحقيقات الأولية تشير إلى أن الحادثة ناتجة عن فقدان السيطرة المفاجئ للشاحنة، ربما بسبب عطل فني أو سرعة زائدة.
كما دعت السلطات المختصة السائقين إلى الحذر الشديد، خصوصاً في نقل المواد الخطرة، وأعلنت إغلاق جزئي للطريق حتى رفع آثار الحادثة بالكامل، مع توجيه حركة المرور عبر مسارات بديلة.
The regional ring road in Egypt, which connects the upper Delta governorates to the capital Cairo, witnessed a horrific traffic accident today (Saturday) that resulted in the death of a truck driver transporting petroleum materials and minor injuries to the drivers of two other vehicles, following a massive fire that broke out as a result of the truck colliding with two tanker trucks.
The accident led to a partial closure of the road in the direction towards Cairo, causing severe traffic congestion that lasted for hours until the fire was brought under control and the aftermath of the accident was cleared.
Details of the Petroleum Truck Explosion on the Regional Road
According to reports from the General Directorate of Traffic and Civil Protection, the accident occurred around 6 AM, after a national gas station on the regional road, in an area located north of the capital.
Eyewitnesses reported that the truck, loaded with large quantities of flammable petroleum materials, was heading towards Cairo when the driver lost control, leading to a violent collision with two tanker trucks coming from the opposite direction. The collision caused part of the petroleum load to spill, igniting flames at an alarming speed, completely engulfing the truck.
The emergency operations room received an immediate report about the incident, prompting civil protection forces to rush to the scene with six fire trucks, in addition to ambulances and security teams to secure the area.
The firefighting teams succeeded in controlling the fire after an hour of intensive efforts, preventing the flames from spreading to nearby vehicles or causing a larger disaster.
Driver Dies in Fire
According to official data, the driver, who was in his forties, perished in the fire inside the truck cabin, while the other drivers were taken to a nearby hospital for medical examinations, and it was found that they did not sustain serious injuries.
The General Directorate of Traffic confirmed that initial investigations indicate that the accident was caused by the sudden loss of control of the truck, possibly due to a technical malfunction or excessive speed.
The relevant authorities also urged drivers to exercise extreme caution, especially when transporting hazardous materials, and announced a partial closure of the road until the aftermath of the accident is completely cleared, directing traffic through alternative routes.
