ونُقلت الطفلة، أخيراً، إلى مستشفى الحميات بالعباسية، إذ عانت من هبوط حاد في الدورة الدموية وتوقف عضلة القلب، لتفارق الحياة وسط صدمة كبيرة.
وبحسب الأطباء، يعدّ مرض السعار من أخطر الأمراض الفايروسية القاتلة التي تنتقل عن طريق لعاب الحيوانات المصابة، وغالباً ما يكون مميتاً إذا لم يُعالج فوراً بالتطعيم المناسب.
جدل واسع
أثارت وفاة جوري موجة انتقادات واسعة، إذ حمّل البعض عائلتها مسؤولية التقصير في العلاج، فيما اعتبر آخرون أن المشكلة تكمن في انتشار الكلاب الضالة التي تهدد حياة الأطفال والمواطنين.
