سجلت شبه جزيرة كامتشاتكا الروسية زلزالا بقوة 6.0 درجات على مقياس ريختر، وذلك على بعد نحو 234 كيلومترا من مدينة بتروبافلوفسك-كامتشاتسكي.
ووفقا لبيان نشر على منصة «تليغرام»، وقع الزلزال على عمق 64.8 كيلومتر، حيث تأتي هذه الهزة في سياق النشاط الزلزالي المتزايد الذي تشهده المنطقة أخيرا، بحسب وكالة سبوتنيك الروسية.
وتقع شبه الجزيرة ضمن منطقة «حلقة النار» الشهيرة بنشاطها الزلزالي، وقد شهدت في 30 يوليو الماضي واحدا من أقوى الزلازل في تاريخها، حيث ضربتها هزة عنيفة بقوة 8.8 درجة، تبعتها هزتان أخريان بقوة 6.0 و5.1 درجة في اليوم التالي.
ويعد زلزال 30 يوليو الأقوى في المنطقة منذ عام 1952.
The Russian Kamchatka Peninsula recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 on the Richter scale, located about 234 kilometers from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
According to a statement published on the Telegram platform, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 64.8 kilometers, and this tremor comes in the context of the increased seismic activity that the region has been experiencing recently, according to the Russian news agency Sputnik.
The peninsula is located within the famous "Ring of Fire," known for its seismic activity, and it experienced one of the strongest earthquakes in its history on July 30, when it was hit by a violent tremor with a magnitude of 8.8, followed by two other tremors of magnitudes 6.0 and 5.1 the next day.
The July 30 earthquake is the strongest in the region since 1952.
