أعلنت البحرية الأمريكية تحطم طائرة مقاتلة تابعة لها من طراز «إف-35» في وسط ولاية «كاليفورنيا» بالقرب من قاعدة ليمور الجوية.
وذكرت البحرية الأمريكية في بيان اليوم، أن الطيار قفز من الطائرة بسلام، وتم فتح تحقيق من أجل الوقوف على أسباب وملابسات الحادثة، مشيرة إلى أن الطائرة تابعة لسرب المقاتلات الضاربة «في إف-125» المعروف باسم «راف رايدرز».
وتعدُّ هذه الحادثة الثانية من نوعها خلال هذا العام عقب تحطم طائرة «إف-35 إيه» التابعة للقوات الجوية في قاعدة إيلسون الجوية بولاية «ألاسكا» في شهر يناير الماضي خلال مهمة تدريبية.
The U.S. Navy announced the crash of one of its fighter jets, an "F-35," in central California near the Lemoore Naval Air Station.
The U.S. Navy stated in a statement today that the pilot ejected from the aircraft safely, and an investigation has been opened to determine the causes and circumstances of the incident, noting that the aircraft belongs to the strike fighter squadron "VF-125," known as the "Rough Riders."
This is the second incident of its kind this year, following the crash of an "F-35A" belonging to the Air Force at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska last January during a training mission.
