أصدرت السلطات الصينية تحذيرًا اليوم من خطر حدوث موجات مد عاتية (تسونامي) في مناطق عدة على سواحلها الشرقية بعد زلزال بقوة 8,8 درجة وقع في المحيط الهادئ قرب شبه جزيرة كامتشاتكا الروسية.
وأفاد مركز الوقاية من التسونامي في بيان «استنادًا إلى آخر نتائج التحذير والتحليل، خلص مركز الوقاية من التسونامي إلى أن الزلزال تسبب بتسونامي يتوقع أن يلحق أضرارًا ببعض مناطق الصين الساحلية».
The Chinese authorities issued a warning today about the risk of a tsunami in several areas along its eastern coast after an earthquake measuring 8.8 on the Richter scale occurred in the Pacific Ocean near the Russian Kamchatka Peninsula.
The Tsunami Warning Center stated in a statement, "Based on the latest warning results and analysis, the Tsunami Warning Center concluded that the earthquake has caused a tsunami that is expected to cause damage to some coastal areas of China."
