On Monday, Palm Beach County in Florida witnessed a serious incident when a small Orlican M8 Eagle aircraft collided with a Honda Civic on a road near Lantana Airport, resulting in the injury of seven people.
The incident occurred around 4:25 PM on Lake Osborne Drive near the intersection with Cochran Drive, when the aircraft, which was attempting to land or take off from the nearby airport, struck the roof of the car before crashing onto the sidewalk in a nearby park.
According to the Palm Beach County Fire Department, there were two people on board the aircraft, while the car carried five people, including one adult and four children. All the injured were transported to local hospitals, where two individuals (from the aircraft) were classified as "trauma alert" emergencies and taken to the Palm Beach Medical Center for trauma care, while the five people in the car were taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation as a precautionary measure.
