شهد عرض جوي في قاعدة «سان خافيير» الجوية جنوب إسبانيا حادثاً نادراً وخطِراً، حين اصطدم طائر نورس بطائرة مقاتلة من طراز«Eurofighter» تبلغ قيمتها 73 مليون جنيه إسترليني، ما أدى إلى تحطم جزء من قمرة القيادة.
ووثق المصور خافيير ألونسو سالغو الحادث بالصدفة بعد التقاط سلسلة من الصور خلال مهرجان «AIRE25» الجوي. وأظهرت الصور لحظة اقتراب الطائر من الطائرة، تلتها صورة أخرى لانفجار ريش وأجزاء حمراء على الزجاج الأمامي للطائرة.
قال خافيير ألونسو سالغو: «لم أتنبه لما صورته إلا بعد أن أُعلن عبر الراديو أن الطائرة غادرت العرض نتيجة اصطدام بطيور النورس». وأضاف: عندما راجعت الصور، صُدمت برؤية الضرر الواضح في قمرة القيادة.
رغم الحادث، تمكن الطيار من الهبوط بأمان دون إصابات.
A rare and dangerous incident occurred during an airshow at the "San Javier" airbase in southern Spain when a seagull collided with a Eurofighter jet valued at £73 million, resulting in damage to part of the cockpit.
Photographer Javier Alonso Salgo accidentally captured the incident while taking a series of photos during the "AIRE25" air festival. The images showed the moment the bird approached the aircraft, followed by another image of feathers and red debris on the jet's windshield.
Javier Alonso Salgo said, "I didn't realize what I had captured until it was announced over the radio that the aircraft had left the show due to a bird strike." He added, "When I reviewed the photos, I was shocked to see the visible damage to the cockpit."
Despite the incident, the pilot was able to land safely without injuries.
