يعتزم تطبيق «تيك توك» الصيني تطوير نسخة جديدة منه للمستخدمين في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية قبل بيعه المقرر لمجموعة من المستثمرين.
وذكرت صحيفة "the information" أن تيك توك وضع خطة لإطلاق التطبيق الجديد على متاجر التطبيقات الأمريكية في الخامس من سبتمبر.
يأتي ذلك بعد تأكيد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أنه سيبدأ محادثات مع الصين بشأن صفقة محتملة بخصوص تيك توك. منوهاً إلى أن الولايات المتحدة أبرمت «تقريباً» صفقة لبيع تطبيق مقاطع الفيديو القصيرة.
وفي يونيو الماضي، مدد ترمب الموعد النهائي المحدد لشركة «بايت دانس»، المالكة لتطبيق «تيك توك»، التي تتخذ من الصين مقراً، لبيع أصول تيك توك في الولايات المتحدة حتى 17 سبتمبر.
وأبانت "the information" أنه سيتعين على مستخدمي تيك توك في نهاية المطاف تحميل التطبيق الجديد حتى يتمكنوا من استخدامه رغم أن التطبيق الحالي سيعمل حتى مارس القادم مع احتمال تغيير الموعد.
The Chinese app "TikTok" intends to develop a new version for users in the United States before its planned sale to a group of investors.
The newspaper "the information" reported that TikTok has a plan to launch the new app on American app stores on September 5.
This comes after U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that he would begin talks with China regarding a potential deal concerning TikTok, noting that the United States has "almost" reached a deal to sell the short video app.
Last June, Trump extended the deadline set for "ByteDance," the Chinese-based owner of the TikTok app, to sell TikTok's assets in the United States until September 17.
It was clarified by "the information" that TikTok users will eventually need to download the new app to be able to use it, although the current app will continue to function until next March, with the possibility of changing the date.
