اتهم الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو الذي يقود حملة مقاطعة ضد «واتساب»، التطبيق بالتجسس.
وقال الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو: «لقد حذفت تطبيق «واتساب» من حياتي».
وأصر مادورو على مقاطعة تطبيق «واتساب» متهماً المنصة الشهيرة بـ«التجسس»، في حين أكد أن حكومته تعمل على تطوير نظام مراسلة بديل.
وصرح الرئيس خلال برنامجه الأسبوعي: «حذفت «واتساب» من حياتي.. وداعاً «واتساب».. ارحل يا «واتساب».. أنا لا أحبك يا «واتساب».. ارحل لأنك نظام تجسس».
وأضاف الرئيس: إنهم يتجسسون عليك ويعرفون كل شيء عن حياتك عبر «واتساب»، بعد أن اتهم في وقت سابق المنصة المستخدمة على نطاق واسع في فنزويلا، بالوقوف وراء «حرب نفسية» لزعزعة استقرار حكومته.
وعلى الرغم من دعوات مادورو للتوقف عن استخدامه، فإن تطبيق «واتساب» ليس محظوراً أو مغلقاً في فنزويلا.

During his weekly program, the president stated: "I have deleted 'WhatsApp' from my life... Goodbye 'WhatsApp'... Leave, 'WhatsApp'... I do not like you, 'WhatsApp'... Leave because you are a spying system."
The president added: They are spying on you and know everything about your life through "WhatsApp," after previously accusing the widely used platform in Venezuela of being behind a "psychological war" to destabilize his government.
Despite Maduro's calls to stop using it, the "WhatsApp" app is not banned or closed in Venezuela.
