تحوّل حفل زفاف داخل قاعة أفراح بأحد النوادي الشهيرة في حي مصر الجديدة إلى ساحة دامية، بعد أن اندلعت مشاجرة عنيفة بين العريس وشقيق العروس، تصاعدت خلالها الأحداث بشكل كارثي لتسفر عن جريمة قتل مأساوية.
وشهد الحفل لحظات من الفوضى العارمة، قبل أن يتلقى أحد المدعوين، وهو صديق للعريس، طعنة قاتلة بسلاح أبيض على يد صديق شقيق العروس، ما أدى إلى وفاته في الحال داخل القاعة.
وتلقت الأجهزة الأمنية بلاغاً من مستشفى هليوبوليس يفيد بوصول جثة شخص يحمل آثار طعن نافذة، إذ انتقلت قوة من قسم النزهة إلى مكان الواقعة، وتم نقل الجثمان إلى مشرحة المستشفى، بينما باشرت النيابة العامة التحقيق في الحادثة.
وأسفرت التحقيقات الأولية عن ضبط 6 متهمين، بينهم العريس وشقيق العروس، وجارٍ اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية بحقهم.
وتعود بداية القصة إلى مشادة كلامية بين العريس وشقيق العروس أثناء الزفاف، تطورت إلى مشاجرة عنيفة شارك فيها أقارب الطرفين، وانتهت بطعنة قاتلة أنهت حياة شاب في مقتبل العمر، وسط ذهول وصدمة الحضور.
وأثارت الحادثة موجة من الغضب والصدمة في المجتمع المحلي، لا سيما أن النادي الذي شهد وقوع الجريمة يُعد من أرقى الأندية الاجتماعية والرياضية بالقاهرة، ويقع في قلب حي مصر الجديدة المعروف بطابعه الراقي وهدوئه، ما جعل الواقعة حديث الساعة، ودفع البعض للمطالبة بتشديد الرقابة الأمنية على قاعات الأفراح والأندية الكبرى.
