حققت العداءة البريطانية كيلي هودجكينسون لقبها العالمي الأول داخل الصالات، بعد فوزها بسباق (800) متر، ضمن بطولة العالم لألعاب القوى داخل القاعة، المقامة في مدينة تورون البولندية.
وسجّلت هودجكينسون زمنًا قدره (1:55.30) من الدقائق، محققةً أفضل توقيت في البطولة، وثاني أسرع زمن عالمي داخل القاعة في هذه المسافة.
وجاءت السويسرية أودري ويرو في المركز الثاني بزمن (1:56.64) دقيقة، مسجّلة رقمًا قياسيًا وطنيًا، فيما حلّت الأمريكية أديسون وايلي ثالثةً بزمن (1:58.36) دقيقة.
The British runner Keely Hodgkinson achieved her first world indoor title after winning the (800) meter race at the World Athletics Indoor Championships held in the Polish city of Toruń.
Hodgkinson recorded a time of (1:55.30) minutes, achieving the best time of the championship and the second fastest world indoor time at this distance.
Swiss athlete Audrey Weir came in second with a time of (1:56.64) minutes, setting a national record, while American Addison Wiley finished third with a time of (1:58.36) minutes.
