يواصل المهاجم الدولي صالح الشهري موسمه الثاني مع نادي الاتحاد وسط سلسلة من الظروف الغريبة التي لازمته منذ انطلاق موسم 2025-2026، بعدما وجد نفسه في أكثر من مباراة يُستبدل اضطرارياً بسبب حالات الطرد التي تعرّض لها زملاؤه داخل الملعب، لتتحول مشاركته في التشكيلة الأساسية إلى ضحية متكررة للقرارات التحكيمية.
الشهري، الذي شارك هذا الموسم في أربع مباريات أساسيًا حتى الآن، لم يتمكن من إكمال سوى مباراة واحدة فقط حتى صافرة النهاية، إذ اضطر الجهاز الفني لاستبداله في ثلاث مباريات متتالية بعد طرد لاعبين من الفريق، ما قلّص من فرصه في الظهور الكامل وإبراز إمكاناته الهجومية المعروفة.
ففي مواجهة الفتح ضمن منافسات دوري روشن السعودي، اضطر المدرب إلى إخراجه بعد طرد الحارس رايكوفيتش، ليجري تعديلًا تكتيكيًا بهدف سد النقص العددي في الخط الخلفي.
وفي لقاء الوحدة الإماراتي ضمن دوري أبطال آسيا، تكرّر السيناريو ذاته بعد طرد الظهير الأيمن مهند الشنقيطي، مما أجبر الجهاز الفني على إجراء تبديل دفاعي اضطر معه لإخراج الشهري مبكرًا.
كما تواصلت المصادفة في مواجهة الخليج عندما تلقى البرازيلي فابينيو بطاقة حمراء، ليكون الشهري مجددًا هو الخيار الأول الذي يُضحّى به في سبيل الحفاظ على التوازن داخل أرض الملعب.
