اختتمت أمس (الجمعة)، دورة الألعاب الآسيوية الثالثة للشباب، في مدينة خليفة الرياضية بالمنامة، بحضور الأمير فهد بن جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد نائب رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية رئيس البعثة السعودية المشاركة بالدورة، وسمو الشيخ خالد بن حمد بن آل خليفة النائب الأول لرئيس المجلس الأعلى للشباب والرياضة رئيس الهيئة العامة للرياضة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية البحرينية، وعدد من رؤساء اللجان الأولمبية القارية والوطنية والاتحادات الرياضية.
وشهد حفل الختام، مراسم طابور عرض الدول المشاركة التي بلغ عددها 45 دولة آسيوية، والعديد من الفقرات الفنية والموسيقية التي استعرضت أبرز لحظات الدورة، ومراسم تسليم جمهورية أوزبكستان علم استضافة النسخة الرابعة من الدورة عام 2029م.
على ذات الصعيد توج فريق الفروسية للقدرة والتحمل بالميدالية البرونزية لمنافسات الفرق، إذ أنهى فريق الأخضر المكون من نورة العبيدلي، وعبدالعزيز المبارك، وعبدالله المسند، وسلمان القرشي، وقصي صبري، السباق بمجموع زمن (18:45:34) ساعة.
وبعد ختام المشاركة السعودية أصبح إجمالي الميداليات في هذه الدورة 22 ميدالية (5 ذهبيات، 4 فضيات، 13 برونزية).
The third Asian Youth Games concluded yesterday (Friday) at Khalifa Sports City in Manama, with the presence of Prince Fahd bin Jiluwi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Head of the Saudi delegation participating in the games, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, along with several heads of continental and national Olympic committees and sports federations.
The closing ceremony featured a parade of the participating countries, which numbered 45 Asian nations, along with many artistic and musical performances that showcased the highlights of the games, and the ceremony for handing over the flag of hosting the fourth edition of the games in 2029 to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On the same note, the equestrian endurance team won the bronze medal in the team competitions, as the green team, consisting of Nora Al Obaidli, Abdulaziz Al Mubarak, Abdullah Al Musnad, Salman Al Qureshi, and Qusay Sabri, completed the race with a total time of (18:45:34) hours.
After the conclusion of the Saudi participation, the total number of medals in this edition reached 22 medals (5 gold, 4 silver, 13 bronze).
