للمرة الثالثة على التوالي يتعرض الاتحاد للهزيمة في لقاءاته الودية بعد أن خسر من فولهام الإنجليزي بنتيجة 4 أهداف مقابل هدفين في معسكره الحالي في البرتغال استعداداً للموسم الرياضي القادم.
دخل الاتحاد اللقاء بتشكيلة مكونة من: حامد الشنقيطي (حارس مرمى)، ماتيو بوريل ودانيلو بيريرا وسعد آل موسى وماريو ميتاي وعوض الناشري ونجولو كانتي وحسام عوار وموسى ديابي وستيفن بيرغوين وكريم بنزيما، وتمكن فولهام من إحراز هدف مبكر عن طريق هاري ويلسون بتسديدة من خارج منطقة الجزاء (د:7)، وأضاف إيميلي سميث روي الهدف الثاني بعد عرضية فاجأت حارس المرمى الشنقيطي لتسكن الشباك الاتحادية (د:22)، وتمكن جوشوا كينغ من تسجيل الهدف الثالث (د:39)، ومن ركلة زاوية وصلت الكرة للاعب خورخي كوينكا ليسددها مباشرة في المرمى الاتحادي هدفاً رابعاً لفولهام (د:45+1)، وفي الشوط الثاني نشط أداء الاتحاد قليلاً وتحصل كريم بنزيما على ركلة جزاء وسددها بنفسه ورغم تصدي الحارس للكرة إلا أنها وصلت لبنزيما ليودعها في الشباك هدفاً أول للاتحاد (د:68)، ومن هجمة منظمة انطلق موسى ديابي من الجهة اليمنى ولعب كرة عرضية أرضية لبنزيما الذي سيطر عليها ومن ثم سددها في المرمى محرزاً الهدف الشخصي الثاني له وللاتحاد (د:73)، وبعد الهدف أجرى المدرب لوران بلان عدة تغييرات كان أبرزها مشاركة المهاجم الشاب عدنان البشري الذي تعاقد معه الاتحاد في فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الحالية.

For the third consecutive time, Al-Ittihad faced defeat in its friendly matches after losing to Fulham of England with a score of 4 goals to 2 during its current camp in Portugal in preparation for the upcoming sports season.
Al-Ittihad entered the match with a lineup consisting of: Hamid Al-Shanqeeti (goalkeeper), Matteo Bureil, Danilo Pereira, Saad Al-Mousa, Mario Metai, Awad Al-Nashri, N'Golo Kante, Hossam Aouar, Moussa Diaby, Steven Bergwijn, and Karim Benzema. Fulham managed to score an early goal through Harry Wilson with a shot from outside the penalty area (7'), and Emile Smith Rowe added the second goal after a cross that surprised goalkeeper Al-Shanqeeti, finding the back of the net (22'). Joshua King scored the third goal (39'), and from a corner kick, the ball reached player Jorge Cuenca, who shot it directly into the Al-Ittihad goal, marking Fulham's fourth goal (45+1'). In the second half, Al-Ittihad's performance improved slightly, and Karim Benzema earned a penalty kick, which he took himself. Although the goalkeeper saved the ball, it reached Benzema, who placed it into the net for Al-Ittihad's first goal (68'). Following a well-organized attack, Moussa Diaby launched from the right side and played a ground cross to Benzema, who controlled it and then shot it into the net, scoring his second personal goal and for Al-Ittihad (73'). After the goal, coach Laurent Blanc made several substitutions, the most notable being the participation of young striker Adnan Al-Bushri, who was signed by Al-Ittihad during the current summer transfer window.
