After 17 months of his sudden collapse due to a rare condition in the brain that nearly cost him his life, former Swedish international Kristoffer Olsson returned to the pitch, scoring a goal in his first match with his childhood club IK Sleipner against Österaker United.

On February 20, 2024, Olsson lost consciousness at home and was taken to Aarhus University Hospital where he underwent artificial respiration, after it was discovered that he had suffered strokes due to a rare inflammation of the blood vessels. After weeks in the hospital, he miraculously survived thanks to prompt medical intervention.

Today, at the age of 29, Olsson confirmed that the hardest part is behind him, emphasizing the importance of patience and positive thinking in his journey. His latest goal is a symbol of his victory over death.
