خسر الأهلي لقاءه أمام كومو الإيطالي بنتيجة 1/ 3 في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما في نصف نهائي كأس كومو الودية على ملعب جي سينيجاليا في إيطاليا.
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية للأهلي الذي سيطر على اللقاء وضغط على أصحاب الأرض والجمهور، وبعد أن أضاع جالينو فرصة الهدف الأول عاد ليؤكد تميزه بعد أن استفاد من تمريرة زميله ماكسيمان ليواجه جالينو الحارس ويسددها قوية في المرمى هدفاً للأهلي (د:7)، وكاد الأهلي يضاعف النتيجة بعد انفرادة ماكسيمان لكنه سدد الكرة في الحارس لتضيع فرصة محققة، ومن كرة عرضية تمكن المهاجم الإيطالي باتريك كوتروني من إحراز هدف التعادل برأسية مثالية (د:30)، وفي الشوط الثاني ومن خطأ دفاعي وضع ديميرال الكرة في مرمى فريقه بدلاً من إبعادها ليتقدم كومو بالهدف الثاني (د:47)، وتكررت الأخطاء الدفاعية من لاعبي الأهلي إذ مرر البديل (الوافد الجديد) عبدالإله الخيبري الكرة بالخطأ للاعب كومو الذي مررها بدوره لزميله إيفان أزون ليسددها في المرمى هدفاً ثالثاً (د:63)، وحاول الأهلي العودة للقاء ولكن هدف فرانك كيسيه تم إلغاؤه بداعي التسلل، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز كومو بنتيجة 3/ 1.
وسيقام اليوم (الخميس) اللقاء الثاني في البطولة الذي سيجمع أياكس الهولندي بسيليتك الأسكتلندي وسيواجه الفائز كومو الإيطالي على كأس البطولة فيما يلعب الخاسر مع الأهلي لتحديد المركزين الثالث والرابع.
