The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Shabab Club, Khalif Al-Huwaishan, issued a decision to restructure the football sector within the club, as part of organizational reforms aimed at enhancing efficiency and professionalism within the administrative system. This step included the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Al-Nasser as the Executive Director of Football, in an effort to establish a more effective and sustainable working environment at both the technical and administrative levels.

These moves come following the announcement by the Saudi Ministry of Sports to officially dissolve the Board of Directors of Al-Shabab Club after accepting the resignation of former president Mohammed Al-Munajem, and appointing Khalif Al-Huwaishan to lead the interim council for a year, until the end of the 2025-2026 season.

Al-Huwaishan had previously held the position of CEO of the club before being tasked with leading the club during this transitional phase, amid expectations of forming a Board of Directors that includes new elements of expertise, as part of the new administration's efforts to bring about a qualitative shift in the club's structure.

In the technical context, Al-Shabab Club announced the signing of Spanish coach Imanol Alguacil to lead the first team in preparation for the upcoming season. The team is scheduled to hold its external camp in Austria from July 22 to August 13, which will include several friendly matches, the most notable of which will be against Qatari teams Al-Gharafa and Al-Shahaniya, and UAE's Al-Sharjah, with the fourth opponent in the series of preparatory matches to be announced later.
