وجهت اليوم (الجمعة) الشرطة البريطانية للاعب الأرسنال السابق لكرة القدم توماس بارتي 5 تهم اغتصاب واعتداء جنسي، وذلك بعد شكاوى قدمتها 3 نساء.
وقالت الشرطة البريطانية في بيان رسمي نشر عبر منصة «X»: «إن التهم الموجهة إلى الدولي الغاني البالغ من العمر 32 عاماً تتعلق بجرائم مزعومة، وقعت بين عامي 2021 و2022، وبعد تحقيق أجراه المحققون، بدأ في فبراير 2022، عندما تلقت الشرطة أول بلاغ عن الاغتصاب». وأضافت أن التهم الخمس بالاغتصاب تتعلق بامرأتين مختلفتين، بينما تهمة الاعتداء الجنسي تخص امرأة ثالثة.
وقال المفتش أندي فورفي من شرطة العاصمة البريطانية: «تبقى أولويتنا تقديم الدعم للنساء اللواتي قدمن بلاغات».
وذكرت الشرطة أن بارتي من المقرر أن يمثل أمام محكمة وستمنستر الابتدائية الثلاثاء 5 أغسطس.
وكان بارتي انضم لأرسنال في 2020 مقابل 45.3 مليون جنيه إسترليني من فريق أتلتيكو مدريد الإسباني، وخاض معه 167 مباراة، أحرز فيها 9 أهداف، وصنع 7، وتوج مع الفريق بكأس الدرع الخيرية.

Today (Friday), British police have charged former Arsenal football player Thomas Partey with 5 counts of rape and sexual assault, following complaints made by 3 women.
The British police stated in an official statement published via the platform "X": "The charges against the 32-year-old Ghanaian international relate to alleged offenses that occurred between 2021 and 2022, following an investigation that began in February 2022 when the police received the first report of rape." They added that the five charges of rape involve two different women, while the charge of sexual assault pertains to a third woman.
Inspector Andy Fourie from the British Metropolitan Police said: "Our priority remains to provide support to the women who have come forward with reports."
The police mentioned that Partey is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 5.
Partey joined Arsenal in 2020 for £45.3 million from Spanish team Atlético Madrid, and has played 167 matches with them, scoring 9 goals and providing 7 assists, and he won the Community Shield with the team.
