أعلن النجم البرتغالي وقائد فريق الخليج، فابيو مارتينز، رحيله الرسمي عن صفوف الفريق، بعد انتهاء عقده، وذلك عقب موسمين مثّلا محطة مليئة بالشغف والتفاني ضمن منافسات دوري روشن للمحترفين.
وقال مارتينز في منشور عبر حسابه في منصة X: «رحلة من النمو والشغف انتهت اليوم وأنا فخور بما قدمته، وممتن لإدارة النادي على منحي الفرصة لارتداء شعار هذا النادي العريق».
ووجّه شكره لإدارة الخليج وعلى رأسها المهندس علاء الهمل على الثقة والدعم، كما عبّر عن تقديره لزملائه اللاعبين على مساهماتهم وروحهم الجماعية.
وكانت إدارة الخليج قد قررت في وقت سابق الإبقاء على عدد من المحترفين، منهم اليونانيان كوستاس وكوربيليس، والبرتغالي بيدرو ريبوتشو، بالإضافة إلى استمرار مجموعة من اللاعبين المحليين بتوصية من مدرب الفريق اليوناني دونيس، وهم: مراد هوساوي، علي الشعفي، عارف آل حيدر، وصالح أبو الشامات الذي يتبقى في عقده موسمان، بعد أن قدموا مستويات مميزة في الموسم الماضي.
ومن المنتظر أن يعلن النادي عن قائمة المحترفين الجدد خلال الفترة القادمة، وذلك قبيل انطلاق المعسكر الخارجي للفريق في هولندا، والمقرر إقامته من 25 يوليو وحتى 14 أغسطس 2025.

The Portuguese star and captain of Al-Khaleej, Fabio Martins, officially announced his departure from the team after the end of his contract, following two seasons that were a phase filled with passion and dedication in the Roshen Professional League.
Martins said in a post on his account on platform X: "A journey of growth and passion has ended today, and I am proud of what I have accomplished, and grateful to the club's management for giving me the opportunity to wear the badge of this prestigious club."
He expressed his thanks to the Al-Khaleej management, led by Engineer Alaa Al-Hamal, for their trust and support, and also expressed his appreciation to his fellow players for their contributions and team spirit.
The Al-Khaleej management had previously decided to retain several professionals, including the Greeks Kostas and Korbelis, and the Portuguese Pedro Ribotcho, in addition to continuing a group of local players at the recommendation of the team's Greek coach Donis, namely: Murad Hossawi, Ali Al-Shaafi, Aref Al-Haidar, and Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, who has two seasons remaining on his contract, after they delivered impressive performances last season.
The club is expected to announce the list of new professionals in the coming period, ahead of the team's external camp in the Netherlands, scheduled to take place from July 25 to August 14, 2025.
