في الوقت الذي يستعد فيه فريق الهلال للمغادرة إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية للمشاركة في كأس العالم للأندية، وخوض مواجهته الأولى أمام ريال مدريد يوم 18 يونيو الجاري، إذ يسابق صناع القرار في «الزعيم» الزمن من أجل التعاقد مع بعض النجوم لتدعيم صفوفه بعد فشل مفاوضاته مع المهاجم النيجيري فيكتور أوسيمين من نابولي، وصانع الألعاب البرتغالي برونو فيرنانديز من مانشستر يونايتد، والظهير الأيسر الفرنسي ثيو هيرنانديز من ميلان، والمهاجم الأوروغوياني داروين نونيز لاعب ليفربول، قبل إغلاق فترة القيد الاستثنائية الخاصة بكأس العالم للأندية، مساء اليوم الثلاثاء.
ووفقاً لما ذكره الإعلامي الرياضي بن جاكوبس عبر حسابه على منصة التواصل الاجتماعي «x»، فإن الهلال قضى اليوم في مساعٍ مركزة للتعاقد مع لاعبين على سبيل الإعارة من أندية الدوري السعودي للمحترفين، وذلك قبل ساعات من إغلاق باب القيد الخاص بكأس العالم للأندية، وفق التقرير الذي بثه موقع الـ«RT». وأوضح أن إدارة الهلال تواصلت مع عدد من نجوم الفرق المحلية، من بينهم الفرنسي نغولو كانتي، لاعب نادي الاتحاد، إضافة إلى الجزائري رياض محرز، لكنها واجهت تعثراً في ملف الأخير بعد أن أبدى نادي الأهلي السعودي رفضه مبدئياً لفكرة التفريط في نجمه الجزائري حتى على سبيل الإعارة.
