بعد تتويج فريق الاتحاد ببطولتي كأس الملك ودوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين في الموسم الماضي، تواصل الجماهير الاتحادية أفراحها بتحقيق الثنائية المحلية، إذ عبر الشاعر عبدالرحمن بن عبدالله بأبيات جميلة عن حصد العميد للذهب:

After the crowning of Al-Ittihad team with the King’s Cup and the Roshan Saudi Professional League titles last season, the Al-Ittihad fans continue their celebrations for achieving the domestic double. Poet Abdulrahman bin Abdullah expressed beautifully in verses about the club's success in winning gold:
This is the one who raises the head
An ancient club named the Dean of Clubs
The unique Dean's club knows no despair
Cheered on by fans.. calling his name
In their play, there is art, spirit, and feeling
Their audience applauded them with their hands
How many times has he crowned his lovers with the cup
And how many times has he defeated all clubs
As long as you are the Dean, we are with you in spirit and breath
