منذ نهاية العقد الاحترافي للكابتن سلمان الفرج مع نادي نيوم في يونيو الماضي، لم يحسم اللاعب وجهته الاحترافية القادمة، إذ ارتبط اسم الفرج بثلاثة أندية (الرياض، والفيصلي، والدرعية)، ولكن لم يوقع اللاعب مع أي نادٍ حتى الآن، إذ ستنتهي فترة الانتقالات الصيفية في السادس من سبتمبر القادم.
وكان الفرج رفض فكرة الاعتزال بعد نهاية عقده مع نادي نيوم، ويسعى لمواصلة مشواره الكروي في الملاعب الرياضية.
يذكر أن سلمان الفرج بدأ مسيرته الكروية مع نادي الهلال من الفئات السنية، وانضم لقائمة اللاعبين المحترفين، وحقق مع الزعيم العديد من البطولات المحلية والقارية، وشارك في البطولات العالمية، إلى جانب تمثيل المنتخب السعودي في كافة البطولات الخليجية والعربية والقارية وكأس العالم، وانتقل لنادي نيوم في يوليو 2024، وانتهى عقده في يونيو 2026.
Since the end of Captain Salman Al-Faraj's professional contract with Neom Club last June, the player has not determined his next professional destination. Al-Faraj's name has been linked to three clubs (Riyadh, Al-Faisaly, and Al-Dar'iya), but the player has not signed with any club yet, as the summer transfer window will close on September 6th.
Al-Faraj had rejected the idea of retirement after the end of his contract with Neom Club and is seeking to continue his football career on the sports fields.
It is worth mentioning that Salman Al-Faraj began his football career with Al-Hilal Club from the youth categories, joined the list of professional players, and achieved many local and continental championships with the club. He also participated in global tournaments and represented the Saudi national team in all Gulf, Arab, and continental championships, as well as the World Cup. He transferred to Neom Club in July 2024, and his contract ended in June 2026.
