أعلن الاتحاد الخليجي لكرة القدم تأجيل موعد انطلاق بطولة دوري أبطال الخليج للأندية لموسم 2025-26 لـ30 سبتمبر من موعدها السابق في 16 من الشهر ذاته.
ويأتي قرار تأجيل انطلاق النسخة الثانية من البطولة الخليجية استجابةً لطلب الشركة الراعية للبطولة، نظراً لضيق الوقت المتاح لإتمام التحضيرات والترتيبات التنظيمية والفنية اللازمة، وذلك بعد الموافقة الرسمية على التأجيل من قبل لجنة المسابقات.
من جانبه، أوضح اتحاد الخليج في بيانه: «نتطلع لتقديم نسخة استثنائية من الدوري الذي يحظى بمتابعة جماهيرية واسعة، ونحرص على توفير كل مقومات النجاح الفني والتنظيمي». وكان الاتحاد الخليجي قد أجرى، الإثنين الماضي، قرعة البطولة التي أسفرت عن توزيع الفرق على مجموعتين، الأولى: زاخو العراقي، العين الإماراتي، سترة البحريني، القادسية الكويتي، والثانية: الريان القطري، الشباب السعودي، النهضة العماني، وتضامن حضرموت اليمني.
The Gulf Football Federation announced the postponement of the start date for the Gulf Clubs Champions League for the 2025-26 season to September 30, from its previous date of the 16th of the same month.
The decision to postpone the launch of the second edition of the Gulf tournament comes in response to a request from the tournament's sponsoring company, due to the limited time available to complete the necessary preparations and organizational and technical arrangements, following the official approval for the postponement by the Competitions Committee.
For its part, the Gulf Federation clarified in its statement: "We look forward to presenting an exceptional edition of the league, which enjoys wide public follow-up, and we are keen to provide all the elements for technical and organizational success." The Gulf Federation had conducted the tournament draw last Monday, which resulted in the distribution of teams into two groups: the first group includes: Zakho from Iraq, Al Ain from the UAE, Sitra from Bahrain, and Al Qadsiah from Kuwait, while the second group includes: Al Rayyan from Qatar, Al Shabab from Saudi Arabia, Al Nahda from Oman, and Tadamun Hadramout from Yemen.
