Bayern Munich completely dominated the proceedings of the second half, with Dayot Upamecano putting the Bavarians ahead in the 55th minute, before Harry Kane extended the lead with the fourth goal in the 60th minute. Nicolas Jackson added the fifth goal in the 78th minute, and then Mikael Oliseh returned to score his second and Bayern's sixth goal just six minutes before the end of the match.

Bayern Munich raised their tally to 31 points, strengthening their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table, with an 8-point gap over their closest rivals Bayer Leverkusen. Meanwhile, Freiburg's points remained at 13 in 10th place, after suffering their fourth defeat this season.
