أصدر نادي أستون فيلا الإنجليزي بياناً مفاجئاً بشأن الحضور الجماهيري لمباراته ضد مكابي تل أبيب، المقرر لها 6 نوفمبر القادم، ضمن منافسات الجولة الرابعة بمسابقة الدوري الأوروبي.
وقال النادي عبر موقعه الإلكتروني إنه: «أُبلغ بأنه لن يُسمح لمشجعي مكابي تل أبيب بحضور المباراة المقرر لها (الخميس) 6 نوفمبر، بناءً على تعليمات من مجموعة استشارات السلامة».
وأضاف: «مجموعة استشارات السلامة (SAG) مسؤولة عن إصدار شهادات السلامة لجميع المباريات التي تقام على ملعب «فيلا بارك»، بناءً على عدد من العوامل المادية وعوامل السلامة».
وتابع البيان: «بعد اجتماع بعد ظهر اليوم، أبلغت مجموعة استشارات السلامة النادي والاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم (يويفا) بأنه لن يُسمح لأي مشجعي الفريق الضيف بحضور المباراة».
وختم البيان: «أبلغت شرطة ويست ميدلاندز مجموعة استشارات السلامة أن لديها مخاوف تتعلق بالسلامة العامة خارج الملعب والقدرة على التعامل مع أي احتجاجات محتملة في تلك الليلة، بينما يواصل النادي حواره مع مكابي تل أبيب والسلطات المحلية طوال هذه العملية الجارية، مع وضع سلامة المشجعين الذين يحضرون المباراة وسلامة السكان المحليين في مقدمة أي قرار».

Aston Villa Football Club issued a surprising statement regarding the attendance of fans for their match against Maccabi Tel Aviv, scheduled for November 6, as part of the fourth round of the UEFA Europa League.
The club stated on its website that: "It has been informed that Maccabi Tel Aviv fans will not be allowed to attend the match scheduled for (Thursday) November 6, based on instructions from the Safety Advisory Group."
It added: "The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) is responsible for issuing safety certificates for all matches held at Villa Park, based on a number of material and safety factors."
The statement continued: "After a meeting this afternoon, the Safety Advisory Group informed the club and UEFA that no away fans would be allowed to attend the match."
It concluded: "West Midlands Police informed the Safety Advisory Group that they have concerns regarding public safety outside the stadium and the ability to manage any potential protests that night, while the club continues its dialogue with Maccabi Tel Aviv and local authorities throughout this ongoing process, prioritizing the safety of fans attending the match and the safety of local residents in any decision made."
