تُوفي مدرب النصر السابق الأرجنتيني ميغيل أنخيل روسو عن عمر يناهز 69 عاماً، بعد صراع مع مرض السرطان. وبحسب صحيفة «ماركا» الإسبانية، فقد تدهورت الحالة الصحية للمدرب المُخضرم، الشهر الماضي، ليترك رحيله فراغاً كبيراً في كرة القدم.
واكتشف روسو إصابته بسرطان البروستاتا عام 2017، ومنذ ذلك الحين خضع لعلاجات وعمليات جراحية متعددة، وتعرض لانتكاسة.
ورغم تدهور حالته الصحية، استمر في التدريب مع أندية مختلفة، منها ميلوناريوس، وروزاريو سنترال، وفي 2025، عاد روسو إلى بوكا جونيورز الأرجنتيني - الذي حقق معه كوبا ليبرتادوريس عام 2007 - لفترة ثالثة، بتكليف من رئيس النادي خوان رومان ريكيلمي، ورغم تدهور صحته في الأسابيع الأخيرة، إلا أن تأثيره على الفريق ظل قائماً وحلّ محله مؤقتاً كلاوديو أوبيدا.
وطوال مسيرته المهنية، درب ميغيل أنخيل روسو أكثر من 1000 مباراة، ودرب النصر لفترة قصيرة موسم 2020-2021، وقاده في 20 لقاء، حقق 15 انتصاراً وتعادل في مباراتين وتلقى 3 هزائم.
Former Al-Nassr coach, Argentine Miguel Angel Russo, passed away at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer. According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," the veteran coach's health deteriorated last month, leaving a significant void in football.
Russo discovered he had prostate cancer in 2017, and since then he underwent multiple treatments and surgeries, experiencing a setback.
Despite the decline in his health, he continued to coach various clubs, including Millonarios and Rosario Central. In 2025, Russo returned to Boca Juniors - with whom he won the Copa Libertadores in 2007 - for a third stint, at the request of club president Juan Román Riquelme. Although his health worsened in recent weeks, his impact on the team remained, and Claudio Ubeda temporarily took his place.
Throughout his career, Miguel Angel Russo coached over 1,000 matches, briefly managing Al-Nassr during the 2020-2021 season, leading the team in 20 matches, achieving 15 victories, drawing two, and suffering three defeats.
