قال الهولندي آرني سلوت، مدرب ليفربول، إن مدافع الفريق الإيطالي جيوفاني ليوني سيغيب عن الملاعب لمدة عام تقريباً، بعد إصابته بتمزق في الرباط الصليبي للساق اليسرى، خلال ظهوره الأول بقميص «الريدز» أمام ساوثهامبتون، الثلاثاء الماضي، في كأس كاراباو.
وانضم ليوني - البالغ من العمر 18 عاماً - إلى ليفربول خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الماضية، قادماً من بارما في صفقة بلغت قيمتها نحو 31 مليون يورو.
كييزا مرشح لدوري الأبطال
وأوضح سلوت، خلال المؤتمر الصحفي لمواجهة كريستال بالاس، أن ليفربول يتطلع إلى أن يحلّ الجناح فيديريكو كييزا محل ليوني في قائمة الفريق بدوري أبطال أوروبا هذا الموسم.
ويستعد ليفربول لمواجهة كريستال بالاس، اليوم (السبت)، ضمن منافسات الجولة السادسة من مسابقة الدوري الإنجليزي «بريميرليغ».
ويتصدر «الريدز» جدول ترتيب الدوري الإنجليزي برصيد 15 نقطة، فيما يحلّ كريستال بالاس في المركز الخامس برصيد 9 نقاط.
