جاء تأهل ألكاراز، الذي يسعى للفوز بلقبه الثالث على التوالي في ويمبلدون، بعد تخطيه منافسه الروسي أندري روبليف المصنف 14، بنتيجة 3 مجموعات مقابل واحدة، بعد شوط صعب انتهى بنتيجة (6-7، 6-3، 6-4، 6-4).
ويعد هذا الانتصار هو الفوز الـ22 على التوالي لألكاراز في ويمبلدون، حيث كانت آخر خسارة له في البطولة أمام الإيطالي يانيك سينر في الدور الرابع عام 2022. ويواجه ألكاراز في الدور القادم البريطاني كاميرون، المصنف 65 عالمياً، الذي تجاوز بدوره التشيلي نيكولاس جاري بـ3 مجموعات مقابل واحدة (6-3، 7-6، 6-7، 6-3).
