أعلن نادي الزمالك المصري، اليوم (الجمعة)، تعاقده مع المدرب البلجيكي يانيك فيريرا لقيادة الفريق الأول لكرة القدم.
وأوضح النادي في بيان أن فيريرا وقع عقدا يمتد لموسم واحد، بحضور جون إدوارد، المدير الرياضي للنادي.
وجاء التعاقد مع المدرب البلجيكي بعد مفاضلة بين عدد من المدربين لاختيار الأنسب لقيادة الفريق، وذلك بالتنسيق بين المدير الرياضي ومجلس إدارة النادي، حسبما ذكر البيان.
وتُعد هذه التجربة الأولى لفيريرا في الدوري المصري، إلا أنه ليس غريباً على كرة القدم العربية، حيث سبق له تدريب فريقي الفتح والرياض السعوديين، إضافة إلى شغله منصب المدرب المساعد في فريق الشباب.
وكان نادي الزمالك أعلن في وقت سابق توجيه الشكر للمدرب أيمن الرمادي على الفترة القصيرة التي قضاها مع الفريق، والتي توجت بحصوله على بطولة كأس مصر.
كما شمل الشكر جهازه المعاون الذي ضم: أيمن عبد العزيز مدربًا عامًا، وأحمد سمير وحمادة السيد مدربين مساعدين، وعماد المندوه مدربًا لحراس المرمى، وماريو تومليانوفيتش مخططًا للأحمال، ومحمد الشافعي معدًّا بدنيًا، ومحمد طارق محللاً للأداء، إضافة إلى وائل القباني مديرًا للكرة.
وعلى صعيد اللاعبين، أعلن الزمالك رحيل محترفه التونسي حمزة المثلوثي بعد الاستقرار على عدم تجديد عقده، إضافة إلى اعتزال الثنائي محمد عبد الشافي ومحمود عبد الرازق (شيكابالا).
The Egyptian club Zamalek announced today (Friday) its contract with Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira to lead the first football team.
The club clarified in a statement that Ferreira signed a contract that extends for one season, in the presence of John Edward, the club's sports director.
The decision to hire the Belgian coach came after a selection process among several coaches to choose the most suitable one to lead the team, in coordination between the sports director and the club's board of directors, according to the statement.
This is Ferreira's first experience in the Egyptian league, but he is not a stranger to Arab football, having previously coached the Saudi teams Al-Fateh and Al-Riyadh, in addition to serving as an assistant coach for the youth team.
Zamalek had previously expressed its gratitude to coach Ayman Al-Ramadi for the short period he spent with the team, which culminated in winning the Egypt Cup.
The gratitude also extended to his coaching staff, which included: Ayman Abdel Aziz as general coach, Ahmed Samir and Hamada El-Sayed as assistant coaches, Emad El-Mandouh as goalkeeper coach, Mario Tomlianovich as fitness planner, Mohamed El-Shafie as physical trainer, and Mohamed Tarek as performance analyst, in addition to Wael El-Qabani as director of football.
On the players' front, Zamalek announced the departure of its Tunisian professional Hamza Mathlouthi after deciding not to renew his contract, along with the retirement of duo Mohamed Abdel Shafi and Mahmoud Abdel Razek (Shikabala).
