أعلن الاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم عودة النجم حسن الهيدوس إلى قائمة المنتخب القطري، بعد فترة من الاعتزال الدولي أعقبت مشاركته في كأس آسيا 2023.
وأوضح الاتحاد في بيان رسمي أن الهيدوس سينضم للمنتخب خلال المرحلة الرابعة من التصفيات الآسيوية المؤهلة إلى نهائيات كأس العالم 2026، والتي ستقام في شهر أكتوبر القادم، حيث تستضيف قطر إحدى مجموعتي التصفيات، على أن تُجرى قرعة المرحلة الجديدة يوم 17 يوليو القادم.
وكان الهيدوس أعلن اعتزاله اللعب الدولي عقب قيادة «العنابي» إلى التتويج بلقبه القاري الثاني في نهائيات كأس آسيا 2023، بعد فوزه في المباراة النهائية على الأردن بنتيجة 3–1.
ويُعد لاعب السد من الأسماء البارزة في تاريخ الكرة القطرية، حيث خاض 184 مباراة دولية وسجل 42 هدفًا، وساهم في تتويج المنتخب بلقب كأس آسيا عامي 2019 و2023، بالإضافة إلى إحراز كأس الخليج «خليجي 22» عام 2014. وعلى صعيد الأندية، توج مع السد بالدوري القطري أربع مرات، وكأس الأمير ست مرات، إلى جانب بطولة دوري أبطال آسيا في عام 2011.

The Qatar Football Association announced the return of star player Hassan Al-Haydos to the Qatari national team, after a period of international retirement following his participation in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
The association clarified in an official statement that Al-Haydos will join the national team during the fourth round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which will take place next October, as Qatar will host one of the qualifying groups, with the draw for the new stage scheduled for July 17.
Al-Haydos had announced his retirement from international play after leading "Al Annabi" to win its second continental title at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, following their victory in the final match against Jordan with a score of 3–1.
The Al Sadd player is considered one of the prominent names in the history of Qatari football, having played 184 international matches and scored 42 goals. He contributed to the national team's victories in the AFC Asian Cup in 2019 and 2023, in addition to winning the Gulf Cup "Gulf 22" in 2014. At the club level, he won the Qatari league four times with Al Sadd, the Emir's Cup six times, along with the AFC Champions League title in 2011.
