أعلن وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت اليوم (الإثنين) فرض الولايات المتحدة عقوبات على 60 كياناً وشخصاً وسفينة مرتبطين بإيران في مجالات الطاقة النووية والصواريخ والنفط.
وأشار بيسنت في مؤتمر صحفي إلى تعليق تراخيص عامة كانت تسمح ببعض التحويلات المالية إلى إيران، موضحاً أن بلاده أطلقت عملية لخنق اقتصاد ونظام إيران بتوجيهات من الرئيس دونالد ترمب.
وأوضح أن العقوبات تستهدف 5 شرايين حيوية تستغلها إيران في دول أخرى، هي: الأصول الرقمية، والتكنولوجيا، والذهب، وقطاع الطيران، والشحن البحري.
وقال ترمب إنه يجري اتصالات مع زعماء عالميين لقطع العلاقات الاقتصادية مع إيران، موضحاً أن العقوبات تستهدف شركات وسفن أسطول الظل في دول عدة.
وأشار إلى أن هذه حملة غير مسبوقة تشمل أجهزة الحكومة الأمريكية وتستهدف إيران ومن يدعمها، مبيناً أنه لا أحد بمنأى عن العقوبات الأمريكية.
وأضاف: «أي جهة تسهل عمليات غسل الأموال لصالح إيران ستستبعد من النظام المالي القائم على الدولار الأمريكي»، موضحاً أنه سيكون أمام الدول مهلة لإغلاق الأنشطة التي حددتها وزارة الخزانة ومنها إغلاق فروع البنوك الإيرانية في الخارج.
وحذر الدول التي تتعامل مع إيران قائلاً: «هناك تحذيرات لدول تسهل تهريب نفط إيران وتسمح باستخدام مصارفها لصالح النظام الإيراني»، مضيفاً: «لكل دولة جدول زمني محدد لوقف الأنشطة، وما لم تتخذ الدول إجراءاتها فسنتخذها بشكل أحادي عبر سلطتنا».
وشدد: «يجب على الدول التي تسهل أي تعاملات مع نظام إيران أن تعي رسالتنا وتستجيب لها بسرعة»، مبيناً أن بلاده حددت بدقة كل نقطة اتصال وكل طرف مسهل وكل شبكة استخدمتها إيران لتهريب النفط والالتفاف على العقوبات.
وأضاف: «من يقفون معنا سيجنون ثمار شراكتنا، ومن يربطون مصيرهم بالنظام الإيراني عليهم توقع العزلة معه».
ولفت بيسنت إلى أن واشنطن تفضل التعامل مع الدول عبر «الدبلوماسية الهادئة»، وأبلغت كل دولة بتوقعاتها، مشيراً إلى أن الخزانة الأمريكية تعرف الجهات التي تدعم المنظومة المالية المرتبطة بالنفط الإيراني، وأن تلك الجهات تدرك أنها مستهدفة.
وحذر من أن الجهات التي تواصل تسهيل هذه المعاملات لن يكون أمامها من تلومه سوى نفسها عندما تهوي مطرقة إجراءات وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية عليها.
وأشار إلى أن قوة الاقتصاد الأمريكي تتيح لهم شن هذه العملية المالية المستمرة جنباً إلى جنب مع العمليات العسكرية، متهماً إيران بالتسبب في مقتل وإصابة عدد من المواطنين والجنود بما يفوق ما تسبب به أي نظام إرهابي آخر على وجه الأرض.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Biesenet announced today (Monday) that the United States has imposed sanctions on 60 entities, individuals, and a ship linked to Iran in the fields of nuclear energy, missiles, and oil.
Biesenet indicated in a press conference that general licenses allowing certain financial transfers to Iran have been suspended, explaining that his country has launched a process to strangle the economy and regime of Iran under the directives of President Donald Trump.
He clarified that the sanctions target five vital arteries exploited by Iran in other countries, namely: digital assets, technology, gold, the aviation sector, and maritime shipping.
Trump stated that he is in contact with world leaders to cut economic ties with Iran, explaining that the sanctions target companies and ships of the shadow fleet in several countries.
He noted that this is an unprecedented campaign involving U.S. government agencies and targeting Iran and its supporters, emphasizing that no one is exempt from U.S. sanctions.
He added: “Any entity that facilitates money laundering for Iran will be excluded from the financial system based on the U.S. dollar,” explaining that countries will have a grace period to close the activities identified by the Treasury Department, including shutting down Iranian bank branches abroad.
He warned countries dealing with Iran, saying: “There are warnings for countries that facilitate the smuggling of Iranian oil and allow their banks to be used for the benefit of the Iranian regime,” adding: “Each country has a specific timeline to stop the activities, and unless countries take their measures, we will take them unilaterally through our authority.”
He stressed: “Countries that facilitate any dealings with the Iranian regime must understand our message and respond quickly,” indicating that his country has precisely identified every point of contact, every facilitating party, and every network used by Iran to smuggle oil and evade sanctions.
He added: “Those who stand with us will reap the rewards of our partnership, and those who tie their fate to the Iranian regime should expect isolation with it.”
Biesenet pointed out that Washington prefers to deal with countries through “quiet diplomacy,” informing each country of its expectations, noting that the U.S. Treasury knows the entities that support the financial system linked to Iranian oil, and those entities are aware that they are targeted.
He warned that entities continuing to facilitate these transactions will have no one to blame but themselves when the hammer of U.S. Treasury actions falls upon them.
He noted that the strength of the U.S. economy allows them to carry out this ongoing financial operation alongside military operations, accusing Iran of causing the deaths and injuries of a number of citizens and soldiers exceeding those caused by any other terrorist regime on Earth.
