كشف القائد العام لقوات سورية الديمقراطية (قسد) مظلوم عبدي موعد اكتمال خطة إنهاء عملية دمج قواته في الجيش السوري.
وحول استكمال عملية دمج قوات «قسد» في الجيش السوري، قال عبدي في مقابلة مع شبكة «رووداو» الكردية: «لقد وضعنا خطة لإنهاء عملية الدمج بالكامل خلال هذا الشهر».
وأضاف عبدي أنه على الرغم من أن اتفاق 29 يناير الماضي لم يرتق إلى مستوى طموحاتنا، إلا أنه يخلق مكانة للكرد داخل الدولة السورية، مؤكداً أنه سيبذل كل جهد لنجاحه. وأكد أن الوضع الحالي وطريقة تعامل الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع مع القضية الكردية «تشكل فرصة جيدة». وأضاف: «لم يكن الكرد جزءاً من الدولة عند تأسيس واستقلال الدولة السورية، ولكن الآن نشأت فرصة ليكونوا جزءاً من بناء هذه الدولة».
وتحدث عن التعليم باللغة الكردية، قائلاً: «في المفاوضات التي نجريها مع الدولة السورية، تعتبر قضية اللغة هي البند الأول والرئيسي في جدول أعمالنا».
وأوضح أنه منذ 15 عاماً واللغة الكردية هي لغة التعليم في المناطق ذات الأغلبية الكردية في شمال شرق سورية، ووصلنا بها إلى المرحلة الجامعية، لافتاً إلى أنه لا يمكن العودة إلى جعلها مجرد لغة اختيارية. وأشار إلى حدوث تقدم في هذا المجال خلال اجتماعهم الأخير مع الرئيس الشرع.
وقال: «كنا نحن والأمريكيون والأوروبيون واضحين. كانوا معنا في إطار الحرب ضد «داعش»، ومنذ اليوم الأول كانوا يقولون دائماً: نحن هنا من أجل «داعش». لقد جاءوا لمحاربة تنظيم داعش».
وأعرب عبدي عن اعتقاده بأن من يرى أن «داعش» قد انتهى واهم، محذراً من أن التنظيم منتشر الآن وموجود في جميع المدن. وأفاد بأن «داعش» لم يكن موجوداً سابقاً في المدن السورية الكبرى، إلا أنه الآن مستقر في تلك الأماكن أيضاً.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, revealed the timeline for completing the plan to integrate his forces into the Syrian army.
Regarding the completion of the integration process of the SDF into the Syrian army, Abdi said in an interview with the Kurdish network "Rudaw": "We have set a plan to fully complete the integration process during this month."
Abdi added that although the agreement of January 29 did not meet our aspirations, it creates a position for the Kurds within the Syrian state, affirming that he will make every effort for its success. He confirmed that the current situation and the way Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara is dealing with the Kurdish issue "constitute a good opportunity." He added: "The Kurds were not part of the state at the time of the establishment and independence of the Syrian state, but now a chance has arisen for them to be part of building this state."
He spoke about education in the Kurdish language, saying: "In the negotiations we are conducting with the Syrian state, the issue of language is the first and main item on our agenda."
He clarified that for the past 15 years, the Kurdish language has been the language of education in the Kurdish-majority areas in northeastern Syria, and we have reached the university level with it, noting that it cannot be reverted to being merely an optional language. He pointed out that there has been progress in this area during their recent meeting with President al-Shara.
He said: "We, along with the Americans and Europeans, were clear. They were with us in the framework of the war against ISIS, and from day one they always said: We are here for ISIS. They came to fight the ISIS organization."
Abdi expressed his belief that anyone who thinks ISIS is finished is mistaken, warning that the organization is now spread out and present in all cities. He reported that ISIS was not previously present in the major Syrian cities, but it is now established in those places as well.
