ناقش رئيس المخابرات العامة المصري حسن رشاد، اليوم (السبت)، مع نائب القائد العام للقوات المسلحة الليبية الفريق أول صدام حفتر تطورات الأوضاع في ليبيا والجهود الرامية إلى دفع العملية السياسية، وذلك خلال لقاء جمعهما في مدينة العلمين.
وتناول اللقاء مستجدات المشهد الليبي والمساعي الليبية والدولية الرامية إلى تهيئة الظروف اللازمة لتحقيق الاستقرار، إلى جانب بحث سبل المضي نحو إجراء الانتخابات الرئاسية والبرلمانية وإنهاء حالة الجمود التي تواجه المسار السياسي في البلاد.
وأكد رئيس المخابرات العامة المصرية أهمية البناء على حالة الزخم السياسي المرتبطة بالمبادرات المطروحة بشأن ليبيا، باعتبارها فرصة يمكن توظيفها لدعم الاستقرار وتعزيز وحدة الصف الليبي، بما يساعد على تهيئة المناخ الملائم لتسوية سياسية شاملة.
ويأتي اللقاء في إطار التحرك المصري المتواصل بشأن الملف الليبي، إذ تؤكد القاهرة دعمها للحفاظ على وحدة ليبيا وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها، وضرورة أن يكون الحل السياسي قائماً على توافق ليبي، بعيداً عن التدخلات الخارجية، بما يقود إلى مؤسسات موحدة وانتخابات وطنية.
وتحظى الانتخابات الرئاسية والبرلمانية بأهمية خاصة في مسار تسوية الأزمة الليبية، في ظل استمرار الانقسام السياسي والمؤسسي بين أطراف وقوى مختلفة، وما يرتبط بذلك من تحديات أمنية واقتصادية تعرقل الوصول إلى تسوية نهائية.
ويعكس لقاء العلمين استمرار التواصل المصري مع مختلف الأطراف الليبية، في إطار مساعي القاهرة لدعم مسار سياسي يحافظ على وحدة الدولة الليبية ويفضي إلى استقرار مستدام، مع التأكيد على أهمية استثمار أي فرصة متاحة لدفع العملية السياسية إلى الأمام.
The head of the Egyptian General Intelligence, Hassan Rashad, discussed today (Saturday) with the Deputy Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saad al-Hifter, the developments in Libya and the efforts aimed at advancing the political process, during a meeting held in the city of El Alamein.
The meeting addressed the latest updates in the Libyan scene and the Libyan and international efforts aimed at creating the necessary conditions for achieving stability, in addition to discussing ways to move towards holding presidential and parliamentary elections and ending the stalemate facing the political track in the country.
The head of the Egyptian General Intelligence emphasized the importance of building on the political momentum associated with the proposed initiatives regarding Libya, considering it an opportunity that can be utilized to support stability and enhance the unity of the Libyan front, which helps create a conducive environment for a comprehensive political settlement.
This meeting comes as part of Egypt's ongoing efforts regarding the Libyan file, as Cairo reaffirms its support for maintaining Libya's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and the necessity for the political solution to be based on Libyan consensus, away from external interventions, leading to unified institutions and national elections.
The presidential and parliamentary elections hold particular importance in the path to resolving the Libyan crisis, amid the ongoing political and institutional division among various parties and forces, along with the associated security and economic challenges that hinder reaching a final settlement.
The El Alamein meeting reflects the continued Egyptian communication with various Libyan parties, as part of Cairo's efforts to support a political path that preserves the unity of the Libyan state and leads to sustainable stability, while emphasizing the importance of seizing any available opportunity to advance the political process.
