أحبطت قوات الجيش اليمني هجوماً شنته جماعة الحوثي على مواقع في قطاع جواس شرق محافظة الجوف اليمنية، مستخدمة الطيران المسير للمرة الأولى منذ اندلاع الحرب قبل أكثر من 10 سنوات.
وتصدت قوات المنطقة العسكرية السادسة للهجوم الحوثي، أمس السبت، الذي استهدف مواقع عسكرية في قطاع جواس شرق الجوف، إذ حاولت عناصر الحوثي التقدم نحو مواقع استراتيجية ضمن خطوط التماس.
وحسب مصادر عسكرية، فقد خاضت وحدات الجيش اليمني مواجهات عنيفة، كسرت خلالها الهجوم ودحرت المهاجمين، ما أجبر العناصر الحوثية على التراجع والفرار، بعد تكبدها خسائر كبيرة في العتاد وسقوط قتلى وجرحى.
وأفادت المصادر، أن الطيران المسير استهدف أطقماً تابعة للحوثي كانت تحاول الفرار من مواقع الاشتباكات، ما أسفر عن تدمير عدد منها وزيادة الخسائر البشرية والمادية التي تكبدتها الجماعة خلال الهجوم الفاشل.
في غضون ذلك، تسبب انفجار لغم أرضي زرعه الحوثيين سابقاً في مقتل وإصابة عدد من عناصرها، اثناء محاولتهم الفرار.
يذكر أن هذا هو الهجوم الثاني للحوثيين على قطاع جواس خلال 4 أيام، في وقت صعدت القوات الحكومية عملياتها ضد الحوثيين شرق الجوف في أعقاب بدء خطة انتشار أمني على الطرق الصحراوية لمكافحة تهريب المخدرات والأسلحة.
وأحكمت القوات الحكومية السيطرة على خطوط التهريب والممرات غير القانونية الصحراوية شرق الجوف. وفرضت رقابة صارمة على تحركات العناصر المسلحة، ما أسهم في قطع الدعم اللوجستي والمالي عن الحوثيين وتقليل قدراتهم على شن هجمات مفاجئة على المواقع العسكرية والمدنية.

Sources reported that drones targeted Houthi vehicles attempting to escape from the clash sites, resulting in the destruction of several of them and increasing the human and material losses incurred by the group during the failed attack.
Meanwhile, an explosion from a landmine previously planted by the Houthis resulted in the deaths and injuries of several of their elements while they were trying to flee.
It is noteworthy that this is the second attack by the Houthis on the Jawas sector within 4 days, as government forces have intensified their operations against the Houthis east of Al-Jawf following the initiation of a security deployment plan on desert roads to combat drug and arms smuggling.
The government forces have tightened control over smuggling lines and illegal desert corridors east of Al-Jawf. They imposed strict surveillance on the movements of armed elements, which contributed to cutting off logistical and financial support to the Houthis and reducing their capabilities to launch surprise attacks on military and civilian sites.
