دعت عائلات الرهائن الإسرائيليين إلى تعليق المرحلة التالية من اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، إلى حين تسليم حركة حماس جميع الرفات المتبقي لديها.
وقال منتدى عائلات الرهائن في بيان، اليوم (الإثنين)، إن حماس تعرف بالضبط مكان كل واحد من الرهائن القتلى المحتجزين لديها. لقد مر أسبوعان منذ الموعد النهائي المحدد في الاتفاقية لإعادة جميع الأسرى الـ48، ومع ذلك لا يزال 13 منهم في قبضة الحركة الفلسطينية.
ودعت العائلات حكومة إسرائيل والإدارة الأمريكية والوسطاء إلى عدم الانتقال إلى المرحلة التالية من الاتفاقية حتى تفي حماس بجميع التزاماتها وتعيد كل الأسرى إلى إسرائيل.
وأبرمت إسرائيل وحركة حماس في العاشر من شهر أكتوبر الجاري اتفاقا بوساطة أمريكية وقطرية ومصرية، يقضي بوقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة بعد حرب استمرت نحو عامين.
وبموجب الاتفاق، أفرجت حماس عن 20 رهينة أحياء وسلمت رفات 15 رهينة من بين 28 سبق أن أعلنت إسرائيل مقتلهم. وأكدت الحركة الفلسطينية التزامها بتسليم جثامين 13 رهينة لا تزال في قطاع غزة هم 10 إسرائيليين اختطفوا إبان هجوم الحركة في 7 أكتوبر 2023، وإسرائيلي مفقود منذ عام 2014، وعامل تايلندي وآخر تنزاني.
من جهته، أعلن القيادي في حركة حماس خليل الحية أن الحركة تواجه إشكالات في البحث عن جثامين أسرى الاحتلال، لأن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي غيّر طبيعة أرض غزة، وحتى إن بعض من دفن هذه الجثامين توفي أو لم يعد يعرف أين دفنهم.
وأرسلت مصر خلال اليومين الماضيين، وبموافقة إسرائيل، فرقا مع معدات ثقيلة للمساعدة في عملية استعادة الجثامين.
The families of the Israeli hostages have called for the suspension of the next phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza until Hamas hands over all the remains it has.
In a statement today (Monday), the Hostage Families Forum said that Hamas knows exactly where each of the deceased hostages it holds is located. Two weeks have passed since the deadline set in the agreement to return all 48 prisoners, yet 13 of them remain in the grip of the Palestinian movement.
The families urged the Israeli government, the U.S. administration, and the mediators not to proceed to the next phase of the agreement until Hamas fulfills all its obligations and returns all the prisoners to Israel.
On October 10, Israel and Hamas reached an agreement mediated by the U.S., Qatar, and Egypt, which stipulates a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip after a war that lasted nearly two years.
Under the agreement, Hamas released 20 living hostages and handed over the remains of 15 hostages among the 28 that Israel had previously announced were killed. The Palestinian movement confirmed its commitment to delivering the bodies of 13 hostages still in the Gaza Strip, which include 10 Israelis abducted during the movement's attack on October 7, 2023, one Israeli missing since 2014, and a Thai worker and another Tanzanian.
For his part, Hamas leader Khalil Hayya announced that the movement is facing difficulties in locating the bodies of the occupation prisoners because the Israeli occupation has changed the nature of the land in Gaza, and even some of those who buried these bodies have died or no longer know where they were buried.
In the past two days, Egypt, with Israel's approval, has sent teams with heavy equipment to assist in the process of recovering the bodies.
