أعلن الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، اليوم (الأحد)، موافقة فرنسا وبريطانيا على تزويد بلاده بالأسلحة والصواريخ والمقاتلات.
وأوضح زيلينسكي أن فرنسا وافقت على تزويد أوكرانيا بمقاتلات إضافية من طراز Mirage (ميراج)، وصواريخ دفاع جوي، مبيناً أن بريطانيا هي الأخرى ستواصل دعم كييف عبر تزويدها بالصواريخ والمشاركة في إنتاج طائرات مسيّرة اعتراضية.
أسلحة أوروبية لكييف
وأشار إلى أن هناك أيضاً قرارات جديدة من فنلندا وإسبانيا للمساهمة في مبادرة PURL، وهي آلية لشراء الأسلحة الأمريكية، بما في ذلك صواريخ لمنظومة باتريوت، مؤكداً أن العمل جارٍ على ذلك بتركيز كامل.
وقال الرئيس الأوكراني: الترتيبات الدفاعية مع الشركاء الأوروبيين تسير بوضوح، مشيراً إلى أن بلاده تُعد لمشاريع جديدة، وسيكون هناك مزيد من الإنتاج المشترك للأسلحة، وبحسب شبكة «سي إن إن» الأمريكية فإن أنظمة «باتريوت» أثبتت فاعليتها في تدمير الصواريخ الباليستية الروسية، وتسعى أوكرانيا حالياً للحصول على عقد لشراء 25 من هذه الأنظمة من الولايات المتحدة.
وعززت كييف إنتاج الأسلحة منذ بداية الحرب الروسية على أوكرانيا، إذ يتم الآن إنتاج ما يقرب من 60% من الأسلحة محلياً، لكنها لا تزال تعتمد على الإمدادات الغربية لأنظمة الدفاع الجوي والصواريخ.
وتحتاج أوكرانيا إلى استمرار تدفّق الأسلحة الدفاعية من حلفائها لمواجهة الهجمات الروسية المكثفة بالصواريخ والطائرات المسيّرة، التي غالباً ما يصل عددها إلى مئات الهجمات في الليلة الواحدة.
الدعم البريطاني لأوكرانيا
وقدّمت بريطانيا مجموعة واسعة من الأسلحة والمعدّات لأوكرانيا تشمل أنظمة دفاع جوّي، وبطاريات صواريخ دقيقة المدى، كما أعلنت وزارة الدفاع البريطانية أن الصندوق الدولي لأوكرانيا الذي تقوده لندن قد سلّم كييف أكثر من ألف نظام دفاع جوي، وأكثر من 600 طائرة مسيّرة، إضافة إلى رادارات وأنظمة إلكترونية.
وذكر تقرير لمجلس العموم البريطاني أن لندن سلّمت ذخائر وصواريخ دقيقة إضافة إلى منظومات دفاع جوي، في إطار حزمة مساعدات عسكرية شاملة، من بين المعدات التي أرسلتها إلى أوكرانيا كذلك صواريخ مضادة للدروع مثل نظام NLAW، كما تبرّعت بريطانيا بمعدات مدفعية، منها مدافع AS-90 ذات عيار 155 ملليمتر.
التسليح الفرنسي لأوكرانيا
بدورها، أعلنت فرنسا أنها سلّمت معدات عسكرية لأوكرانيا بقيمة تُقدّر بمليارات اليورو، تشمل مقاتلات من طراز «ميراج»، وصواريخ دفاع جوي من نوع «أستر» وغيرها من منظومات الدفاع الجوي.
وأعلن الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، الخميس، أن فرنسا ستنقل طائرات مقاتلة من طراز «ميراج 2000» إلى أوكرانيا وتدرب طياريها عليها.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced today (Sunday) that France and Britain have agreed to supply his country with weapons, missiles, and fighter jets.
Zelensky clarified that France has agreed to provide Ukraine with additional Mirage fighter jets and air defense missiles, noting that Britain will also continue to support Kyiv by supplying missiles and participating in the production of interceptor drones.
European Weapons for Kyiv
He pointed out that there are also new decisions from Finland and Spain to contribute to the PURL initiative, which is a mechanism for purchasing American weapons, including missiles for the Patriot system, emphasizing that work is ongoing on this with full focus.
The Ukrainian president stated that defense arrangements with European partners are progressing clearly, indicating that his country is preparing for new projects, and there will be more joint production of weapons. According to the American network "CNN," the Patriot systems have proven effective in destroying Russian ballistic missiles, and Ukraine is currently seeking a contract to purchase 25 of these systems from the United States.
Kyiv has ramped up weapons production since the beginning of the Russian war on Ukraine, with nearly 60% of weapons now being produced locally; however, it still relies on Western supplies for air defense and missile systems.
Ukraine needs the continued flow of defensive weapons from its allies to face the intense Russian attacks with missiles and drones, which often number in the hundreds of attacks in a single night.
British Support for Ukraine
Britain has provided a wide range of weapons and equipment to Ukraine, including air defense systems and precision-guided missile batteries. The British Ministry of Defense announced that the international fund for Ukraine, led by London, has delivered more than a thousand air defense systems to Kyiv, along with over 600 drones, in addition to radars and electronic systems.
A report from the British House of Commons stated that London has delivered munitions and precision missiles in addition to air defense systems, as part of a comprehensive military aid package. Among the equipment sent to Ukraine are anti-tank missiles such as the NLAW system, and Britain has donated artillery equipment, including AS-90 howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters.
French Armament for Ukraine
For its part, France announced that it has delivered military equipment to Ukraine valued at billions of euros, including Mirage fighter jets and Aster air defense missiles, along with other air defense systems.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Thursday that France will transfer Mirage 2000 fighter jets to Ukraine and train its pilots on them.
