أعلن وزير الخارجية السوري أسعد الشيباني، اليوم (الأربعاء) رفض تقسيم سورية تحت أي مبرر أو إطار، مؤكداً أن الاجتماع مع قوات سورية الديمقراطية (قسد) هدفه التأكيد على اتفاق «10 مارس».
وأوضح الشيباني، خلال مؤتمر صحافي مع نظيره التركي هاكان فيدان في أنقرة، أن وحدة أراضي سورية مرتكز لاستقرار المنطقة، مبيناً أن أنقرة لها دور كبير في دعم المرحلة الانتقالية في سورية.
إسرائيل تهدد أمن سورية
وقال الشيباني: «إسرائيل لا تزال تهدد أمن سورية وتحتل قطعة من أراضيها، داعياً المجتمع الدولي إلى دعم الحكومة السورية لإنهاء هذه التهديدات.
وشدد وزير الخارجية السوري على ضرورة دعم المجتمع الدولي لمساعي الحكومة السورية لإعادة تفعيل اتفاقية فض الاشتباك مع إسرائيل.
من ناحيته، شدد وزير الخارجية التركي على ضرورة وقف الهجمات الإسرائيلية المتكررة على سورية، داعياً المجتمع الدولي للتكاتف لدعم استقرار سورية.
سورية تستطيع قتال داعش الإرهابي
وقال فيدان إن محاولات إسرائيل زعزعة استقرار سورية بعملياتها الأحادية في جنوب سورية تشكل مشكلة أمن قومي بالنسبة لنا، مبيناً أن قيادة سورية بوسعها الآن قتال تنظيم داعش بمفردها في البلاد، ما يعني أن على الدول الأجنبية تغيير نهجها في هذا الشأن.
وطالب فيدان قوات سورية الديمقراطية بـ«التخلي عن أجندتها الانفصالية»، معرباً عن أمله أن تتمكن الأطراف في سورية من إيجاد حل سلمي.
وبحث الشيباني مع فيدان في العاصمة التركية أنقرة، التطورات الأخيرة في المنطقة والمواضيع ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani announced today (Wednesday) the rejection of any division of Syria under any pretext or framework, emphasizing that the meeting with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) aims to reaffirm the agreement of "March 10".
Al-Shibani clarified during a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in Ankara that the territorial integrity of Syria is a cornerstone for the stability of the region, noting that Ankara has a significant role in supporting the transitional phase in Syria.
Israel Threatens Syria's Security
Al-Shibani said, "Israel continues to threaten Syria's security and occupies a piece of its territory," calling on the international community to support the Syrian government in ending these threats.
The Syrian Foreign Minister stressed the necessity of international support for the Syrian government's efforts to reactivate the disengagement agreement with Israel.
For his part, the Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized the need to stop the repeated Israeli attacks on Syria, calling on the international community to unite in support of Syria's stability.
Syria Can Fight ISIS Terrorists
Fidan stated that Israel's attempts to destabilize Syria through its unilateral operations in southern Syria pose a national security problem for us, indicating that Syria's leadership is now capable of fighting ISIS on its own in the country, which means that foreign countries need to change their approach in this regard.
Fidan urged the Syrian Democratic Forces to "abandon their separatist agenda," expressing hope that the parties in Syria can find a peaceful solution.
Al-Shibani and Fidan discussed the recent developments in the region and topics of mutual interest in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
