Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi invited his American counterpart Donald Trump to attend the signing of a potential agreement in Egypt, should the ongoing negotiations between Hamas and Israel in Sharm El Sheikh succeed.

During his speech at the Police Academy today (Wednesday), Sisi highlighted Egypt's continuous efforts over the past two years to stop the Gaza war.

He stated, "Now in Sharm El Sheikh, negotiations are taking place to end the war, and our hearts are all with these negotiations. I express my deep appreciation and respect to President Trump for his genuine will to end the war during the current round of negotiations."

President Sisi called on his American counterpart to continue supporting efforts to reach an agreement regarding Gaza, affirming Egypt's commitment to positively engage with the Palestinian issue.

He added, "What I have received about the Sharm El Sheikh meetings is encouraging news, and we hope to seize the opportunity and ensure that the end of the war occurs in the current round of negotiations."

The Egyptian president reiterated that the region is going through difficult and harsh conditions, pointing to Egypt's ability to overcome any challenge and confront any danger. He added, "We have managed to overcome terrorism, and the situation in Egypt is reassuring." Sisi emphasized that no one can threaten the Egyptian state, affirming its capability to overcome any challenge and confront any danger.

Today, the Police Academy in New Cairo is witnessing the graduation ceremony of a new batch of students from the Police College and specialized officers for the academic year 2025/2024, with the presence of the Egyptian president, Minister of Interior Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, members of the police authority, a group of military leaders and officers, representatives from several ministries, and the families of the graduates.
