A Hamas leader revealed that Cairo will host a conference for Palestinian factions to determine the future of the Gaza Strip after the war, following the movement's agreement to release all Israeli hostages under the American plan for a ceasefire.

Western media reported the Hamas leader as saying that Egypt will soon begin preparations and invitations to host and sponsor a comprehensive Palestinian-Palestinian dialogue regarding Palestinian unity and the future of Gaza, including the management of the sector through an independent committee or body composed of independent competencies until the authority is unified across all Palestinian territories.

The leader announced that Hamas is ready to start negotiations to complete all issues, after its agreement yesterday (Friday) to release the hostages as part of President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza.

The leader stated that Hamas has informed the mediators that it is ready to immediately begin the exchange process when an agreement is reached with the occupation to prepare the field conditions.

Hamas announced on Friday its agreement to release all hostages but did not mention disarming or the withdrawal of its fighters from the Gaza Strip at the end of the war, which are two main points in Trump's plan.

The statements made by the American president, in which he called on Israel to stop bombing Gaza, were considered "encouraging," affirming its readiness to start negotiations immediately for the release of prisoners and to end the war. Hamas spokesman Taher al-Nounou stated that President Trump's remarks to stop the Israeli bombing in the Gaza Strip immediately are "encouraging."

He added that Hamas is ready to start negotiations immediately to complete the prisoner exchange process, stop the war, and withdraw the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip.
