أكدت دول الترويكا الأوروبية، اليوم (الإثنين)، أن هدفها الأساسي منع إيران من السعي إلى امتلاك أو تطوير أسلحة نووية، مطالبةً في بيان مشترك طهران وجميع الدول بالامتثال الكامل لقرارات الأمم المتحدة.
وقالت فرنسا وبريطانيا وألمانيا في بيان مشترك: «إيران انتهكت التزاماتها مراراً، ولم يكن لدينا أي خيار سوى تفعيل آلية الزناد»، مضيفين: «سنواصل السعي إلى الدبلوماسية والمفاوضات مع إيران».
تحذير أوروبي لإيران
وطالبت الدول الثلاث «دول الترويكا» الأوروبية، إيران بعدم اتخاذ أي إجراءات تصعيدية ومواصلة الامتثال لالتزاماتها.
وكان الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان قد قال في مقابلة مع قناة «إن بي سي» الأمريكية، نقلتها وكالة «تسنيم» الإيرانية: «لقد أعلنا أننا بأي حال من الأحوال لا نسعى وراء صنع السلاح النووي، يريدون أن يقولوا للعالم إننا نتجه نحو السلاح النووي؛ هذا خطأ تماماً، نحن مستعدون لأي نوع من التحقق في هذا الصدد».
معاهدة حظر الانتشار النووي
من جهة أخرى، يجري البرلمان الإيراني حالياً مناقشة تشريع قد يؤدي إلى انسحاب طهران من معاهدة حظر الانتشار النووي، رداً على إعادة فرض العقوبات من جانب الأمم المتحدة على إيران.
ونقلت وكالة «تسنيم» الإيرانية عن المتحدث باسم لجنة الأمن القومي والسياسة الخارجية في مجلس الشورى (البرلمان الإيراني) إبراهيم رضائي، اليوم، قوله: «الهيئة التشريعية استقرت على مسودة نص تشريعي»، مضيفاً: «في ظل هذه الظروف، لا يرى البرلمان أي مبرر لبقاء إيران عضواً في معاهدة حظر الانتشار النووي».
وأشار إلى أن مسودة التشريع لم يتم إدراجها بعد على جدول الأعمال الرسمي للبرلمان.
The European troika countries confirmed today (Monday) that their primary goal is to prevent Iran from seeking to acquire or develop nuclear weapons, demanding in a joint statement that Tehran and all countries fully comply with United Nations resolutions.
France, Britain, and Germany stated in a joint statement: "Iran has repeatedly violated its commitments, and we had no choice but to activate the trigger mechanism," adding: "We will continue to pursue diplomacy and negotiations with Iran."
European Warning to Iran
The three countries, the "European troika," urged Iran not to take any escalatory actions and to continue complying with its commitments.
Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian stated in an interview with the American NBC channel, reported by the Iranian Tasnim agency: "We have announced that we are in no way seeking to produce nuclear weapons; they want to tell the world that we are heading towards nuclear weapons; this is completely wrong, we are ready for any kind of verification in this regard."
Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty
On another note, the Iranian parliament is currently discussing legislation that could lead to Tehran's withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in response to the re-imposition of sanctions by the United Nations on Iran.
The Tasnim agency quoted Ibrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, today as saying: "The legislative body has settled on a draft legislative text," adding: "Under these circumstances, the parliament sees no justification for Iran to remain a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty."
He noted that the draft legislation has not yet been included on the official agenda of the parliament.
