أكد رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني الدكتور رشاد العليمي أنه آن الأوان لإطلاق تحالف دولي فعّال من أجل استعادة أمن واستقرار اليمن وتحريره من قبضة الحوثي.
وأوضح رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي في خطابه أمام الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، أن إدارة الصراع عبر المزيد من الحوافز لم تجلب سوى مزيد من الويلات والدمار، وأن سياسة الاحتواء منحت الحوثيين الوقت والموارد لتوسيع ترسانتهم العسكرية.
وقال العليمي: «السلام المنشود لا يمكن أن يستجدى، بل يفرض بالقوة»، معتبراً أن تغافل المجتمع الدولي عن جوهر الأزمة اليمنية، شجع الحوثيين على التمادي في تهديد السلم الإقليمي، واستهداف مصادر الطاقة وممرات الملاحة الدولية.
وأضاف: «بات واجبا على العالم أن يعيد النظر في تصوراته تجاه الحالة اليمنية»، مشيراً إلى أن اليمن ليست مجرد أزمة داخلية، بل اختبار لمصداقية النظام الدولي.

The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, affirmed that the time has come to launch an effective international coalition to restore security and stability in Yemen and liberate it from the grip of the Houthis.
In his speech before the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council explained that managing the conflict through more incentives has only brought more calamities and destruction, and that the policy of containment has given the Houthis time and resources to expand their military arsenal.
Al-Alimi said: "The desired peace cannot be begged for; it must be imposed by force," considering that the international community's neglect of the essence of the Yemeni crisis has encouraged the Houthis to persist in threatening regional peace and targeting energy sources and international shipping routes.
He added: "It has become imperative for the world to reconsider its perceptions regarding the Yemeni situation," pointing out that Yemen is not just an internal crisis, but a test of the credibility of the international system.
