طالب وزير الخارجية الإسباني خوزي مانويل الباريز، اليوم (السبت)، بتحرك أوروبي شامل بشأن قطاع غزة، وذلك في رسالة بعثها إلى مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية والأمن الأوروبية، مشدداً على أن أوروبا تفعل القليل جداً.
وكتب الباريز على حسابه بـ«إكس»: «اقترحت إسبانيا خطة لأجل غزة تبدأ بحظر مبيعات الأسلحة الأوروبية إلى إسرائيل، وإدراج المزيد من الأشخاص في قائمة العقوبات وتضمينها أي شخص يحاول عرقلة حل الدولتين لأنه الحل الوحيد الذي من شأنه إحلال السلام والاستقرار في الشرق الأوسط».
وشدد على وجوب مساعدة السلطة الفلسطينية بمبالغ مالية هائلة، وذلك لأنها تكافح بسبب احتجاز إسرائيل الضرائب التي يجب أن تعود إليها، مؤكداً أهمية الامتثال لكافة أحكام محكمة العدل الدولية وآرائها الاستشارية، ووقف كافة أنواع التجارة الواردة من المستوطنات غير الشرعية.
ولفت إلى أن إسبانيا اقترحت في خطتها تعليق الاتفاقية القائمة بين الاتحاد الأوروبي وإسرائيل بالكامل، مشدداً على أنه لا يمكن مواصلة التعامل مع إسرائيل كأن شيئاً لم يكن وهناك كارثة إنسانية في غزة، يموت فيها آلاف الفلسطينيين بالمجاعة، بينهم الأطفال والرضع.
وأشار إلى أن الاتحاد الأوروبي لا يمكنه التعامل مع إسرائيل سوى من خلال احترام حقوق الإنسان، لافتاً إلى أنه عندما تؤكد اللجنة المختصة في تقرير وجود انتهاكات جسيمة، عندها يتوجب التحرك. وأضاف: «الوقت ليس للكلام الآن وإنما للفعل، يجب التحرك من أجل وقف الحرب وكسر حصار إسرائيل ضد غزة».

The Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, called today (Saturday) for a comprehensive European action regarding the Gaza Strip, in a message sent to the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, emphasizing that Europe is doing very little.
Albares wrote on his account on "X": "Spain has proposed a plan for Gaza that begins with a ban on European arms sales to Israel, the inclusion of more individuals on the sanctions list, and the inclusion of anyone who tries to obstruct the two-state solution, as it is the only solution that can bring peace and stability to the Middle East."
He stressed the need to assist the Palestinian Authority with substantial financial amounts, as it is struggling due to Israel withholding the taxes that should return to it, affirming the importance of complying with all rulings and advisory opinions of the International Court of Justice, and stopping all forms of trade coming from illegal settlements.
He pointed out that Spain proposed in its plan to completely suspend the existing agreement between the European Union and Israel, emphasizing that it is not possible to continue dealing with Israel as if nothing happened while there is a humanitarian disaster in Gaza, where thousands of Palestinians are dying from starvation, including children and infants.
He noted that the European Union can only engage with Israel through respect for human rights, indicating that when the relevant committee confirms in a report the existence of serious violations, action must be taken. He added: "Now is not the time for words but for action; we must act to stop the war and break Israel's siege on Gaza."
